The voltron force were very welcoming, and shinji would go on to assist them in their battles with his gundam
The predator robeast was wear the gundam truly got a chance to shine, voltron was down having been defeated but the gundam was holding it's ground
It had deployed its gundbits and was fighting hard against the robeast as voltron rejoined the fight in black center overpowering the beast by attacking it on two sides
But strangely, where shinji shined the most was against voltron itself when sky marshall wade had taken control of voltron, shinji showed off his own skill not rising above score two or using the gundbits simply taking the guardian sword and hammering wade with it
But he wad caught off guard in his moment of victory allowing the wade controlled voltron to turn the tide or he would have if if wasn't for the hammered voltron was receiving
"This is the UNSC dawn under heaven, stand down immediately, or we will be forced to take lethal action" the ship ordered, I sighed wade started laughing until he was clobbered on the back of the head turning he saw perhaps his worst nightmare a second voltron glaring down at him
"Another voltron" daniel said
The force themselves were likewise stunned
"Look" hunk said and sure enough a large fleet of ships all targeting the wade controlled voltron, even he knew that he wouldn't survive that assault, and there'd still be a voltron, he had lost, but he'd force them to destroy him, of that was his thought as he roared out in pain
"We have disconnected him from voltron, admiral if you would return with us" the dawn under heaven's captain requested, for he too was surrounded
"Guardian draw" I said, as the gundbits deployed
"Admiral, you are currently a danger to everyone, including yourself" the captain said
"And who's choice was that" I asked
"I understand your anger, but please stand down" he said
"Your starfleet, aren't you" I said
"I am" he said
"I can tell, your kindness makes you a target" I said as the bits assault the dawn under heaven, almost crippling the ship with its barrage
"For the record captain, no, you don't understand, you have no goddamned idea, what you have done to me, if i am a danger, it's your own damn fault" I said, as the gundam vanished returning to the castle i quickly collected my supplies, I'd need before loading them into the gundam
"You don't have to leave" allura said
"Unfortunately, I do, that fleet will come here, and unless you can beat an army plus another voltron plus a full fleet" I said
"Even if we can't, we will fight for you" keith said, determined
"I'm not in the business of leading people to their deaths, at least not purposefully" I said, alarms started to blare
"Speaking of that fleet" I said
"We'll help you" allura said
"Princess, you have already been struggling, the war they want to fight could take months or years" I said, she was hesitating trying to think, to find a way, he had become their friend, and she wanted desperately to help him
"I have a solution" a voice said, I turned gun in hand to find something I didn't think I'd see again
"Nova" I asked
"Hello to you too, my idiot guardian, thanks for disappearing on me" she said in annoyance, i dropped the gun, took the small machine, and cradled it against my chest
"Your alive" I said, tears falling down my face
"You can let go anytime" nova whined as I held her
"Never, I'm never letting you go again" I said
"Since when was my guardian attached to anything" she asked
"Shut up, and let me have this" I said
"Uh, what is that" pidge asked, as I finally let her go
"I am nova, a ghost, actually I am his ghost" she said
"Long story short, i died lived for several centuries in the afterlife, and was pulled out of the afterlife and back into hell by this little ball of moonshine" I said
"I hate that nickname, I don't have alcohol anywhere near my circuits" she said
"How" I asked
"It was part of their ascension, they linked me to you like you were linked to that monster, I am powered by that new organ you now have, my job was to make you as immortal as possible, you know the whole king thing, but I have a solution if you don't mind leaving behind the gundam, I got our jumpship back" nova said proudly, I blinked
"You do" I asked
"Actually, I have better, they used the tech from our jumpship, and what they learned from starfighters, and made new faster than light capable variable fighters and I of course stole one" nova said
"You.......... stole......... one, you are the most beautiful construct i have ever seen" I said
"So your just gonna take this offer" pidge asked
"Yep, been running for years before nova died, no reason to be a hero" I said, as I walked past them
"Uh guardian, captain cresswell is in charge of this force" nova said
"Shit" I said
"Admiral, you are to surrender yourself and the fighter immediately, or we will glass this world" cresswell said
