Floating in peaceful tears.

When I was awoken, Bee was lying on my chest, Dino was lying by my right side and there was, of course, Othello, on the floor, his head on the mattress I was lying on. The three were asleep. There was Linda on the other side of the room, taking care of Mudge's wounds. Even Linda's husband was there. Well actually, he just walked in here. He was holding an iron flask and a few cups.

He didn't work at the circus but would visit sometimes with Janey or alone when he didn't have any work to do. It's been a while since I've seen him. I never really knew him that well. He was simply a tall, smart-pants-looking man. He was very tall, to say the least. I gently picked up Bee and placed him next to me as he curled up a bit in his sleep but didn't wake up. I sat up and turned to look at Linda.

"Momma.." I spoke but was struck with a huge wave of pain as soon as I spoke. I could see her head snap in my direction and give me a look of worry. But I waved my hand at her to shrug off her worry. Her husband, Lucius, approached me instead. Pouring some of the hot liquid from the flask into a cup and handed it to me. It was tea. Jazmin tea. My favorite... I gently smiled and gave a small nod of my head as I accepted the cup with both hands.

After I finished the tea in less of a hurry than I usually drink my tea in, I got to enjoy the taste of it. I set the cup aside and looked down at the sleeping Othello. His face was pale and he had eyebags. How adorable his messy hair fell over his face. I reached out a hand and softly stroked his hair. Cheesy, I know. Almost like a dog, he leaned in, his droopy eyes slowly opening as he enjoyed my hair in his hair.

Once he realized what was happening, his head shot up, quickly scanning my face and his gaze landing on the bandages on my cheek that I still hadn't yet noticed. His gaze was one of pure worry and care. It reminded me so much of Linda that I wouldn't be surprised if they were related.

"You're awake.." Othello said. "So are you," I replied. We simply stared at each other like dumb idiots after that. He then simply held my face and stroked my cheek before planting a kiss on my forehead with a silent "I was so worried I cried".

Wait he did what now? It must have probably been obvious that I was concerned due to the weird look that appeared on Othello's face. I must have looked very dumb right now. "You cried?" I mumbled. That's when I noticed the eyebags that were probably from crying and not exhaustion. But why would he cry? there wasn't anything to cry about. I simply fainted. Again. What's with the fainting lately? I really have no idea.

What's this feeling? Why do I even care? Othello...always messing with my mind. I must have been floating in his tears and not a lake like in the dream. But I would want nothing more. If only it are Othello's tears and none other than Othello's. I started smiling at the idea. Being drenched in each other's tears. Tears of happiness. Tears of sadness. Lying on Othello's chest like last time like a soft patch of grass.
