Kuina woke me up early and dragged me to the poolside, we found an opening and sat with our legs in the pool, She tried to have a conversation with but I didn't feel like talking today, but she wasn't taking it personally, she was telling me about her life in the real world, how her mom is in the hospital, how her dad kicked her out for being trans.

Someone cleared their throat behind us and I looked over to see Chishiya.

"May I join you ladies?" he asks and Kuina nods.

"Sure, how has your morning been?" Kuina asks as I kick my legs in the water.

"Would have been better, if someone was at the Cafe this morning." Chishiya says bumping me.

"She ate with me." Kuina speaks up for me and I give her a grin. Chishiya hums.

"Good, I have a meeting to get to but, Kuina, come find me later." Chishiya speaks then gets up to leave.

Kuina and I hung out by the pool until the sun made us dehydrated, we went inside and to the bar to get a drink, it was now the afternoon and there were a lot of people in the club dancing and having fun. Kuina takes my hand as we walk through the crowd and take a seat at the bar. We were there for all of 15 minutes till Chishiya found us again.

"Artemis, do you mind if I steel Kuina? We will be back." I nod and Chishiya leans closer to me with a hand on my back.

"Are you okay?" He whispers in my ear and I nod.

"She doesn't feel like talking today, come on Chishiya." Kuina drags the man away. I stayed at the bar and drank, with Kuina talking about the real world it got me thinking about my old life.

I knock on the bar to get the bartender's attention and point to the Tequila.

"Shot?" he asked in sign language and a grin crept onto my face.

"Yes."

"Deaf or mute?" He signs after pouring the drink.

"Mute and you?" I sign back to him.

"My sister was or is deaf." He signs and I nod, he gives me a wave as he pours other people a drink.

"Hey, gorgeous." A voice calls out from behind and I roll my eyes and down my shot. The voice scoffs." Don't be a bitch." The voice says and turns me around, I whip out my hand and slap them across the face. I push past them and walk out of the bar area.

I walk up the stairs to go to the elevator only for someone to grab me and cover my mouth, they pull us into the corner of the second floor and throw me to the ground, I try and crawl away only for them to kick me in the stomach, I shout as the wound on my stomach aches and the stitches pull, the man grabs at his belt and ties my hand to the stair railings, I cry and kick.

"Get off!" I shout as he unbuttons my shorts and yanks them down my thighs. I yell at the top of my lungs as he gropes my bobs with one hand and shoves his free hand down my bikini bottoms.

He removes his hands from my bikini bottoms to slap me across the face, I wince as my lip splits open, but gasp and let out a yell as the man's head flies off his shoulder and tumbles away. I gasp trying to catch my breath as the man's body is kicked off me and I see Last Boss, I sob and yank at my wrists.

Last Boss reaches out to me but I let out another scream." Don't touch me." I sob out my whole body shaking.

"What's going on?" A voice calls out and I look behind Last Boss to see Aguni, Niragi, An, and Hatter.

"What the fuck?!" Niragi shouts as he kneels at my side with wild eyes. He undoes the belt around my wrists as I sob and pulls me into his arms. I let him, An steps forward and pulls my shorts up my legs for me. She placed her hand on my shoulder as she looked at my bandage which was now bloody from the kick the man sent my way.

My sobs slowly turn into whimpers.

"Come on baby, let's move somewhere more private." I look around to see we collected a small group of people and I hide my face in his shoulder. He sighs and lifts me up into his arms.

He carries me away from the crowd, from over his shoulder I can see Last Boss following us with his bloody sword resting on his shoulder.

We enter a big room, even bigger than mine, I slowly look around as Niragi places me on the bed, Last boss sits on the couch across from the bed.

Once out of his arms I back up away from him and wrap my shaky arms around my knees. Niragi walks to his alcohol cart and gets a glass as I watch, he goes to the bathroom and I hear the sink, running and turn my eyes to Last Boss who stares at me.

Niragi enters the room and I flinch making him hesitantly walk closer, he passes me the glass of water and some spills on the bed with how badly my hands shake.

Niragi kneels at his bedside and looks up at me." Tell me what happened baby." he says reaching his hand out slowly to take the empty glass from me. I open my mouth to speak, then close it shaking my head, Niragi frowns.

The door slams open making me jump. Chishiya, Kuina, and An step in all with worried looks on their face. Chishiya climbs on the bed and sits in front of me. He reaches out to touch me but stops himself, I shakily reach out my hand to him and he pulls me into his arms. I whimper as he rubs my back.

"Let me see your wound." An says and I untuck my legs from my chest, she comes over and pulls the bandage off." It doesn't look too bad, your stitches just pulled but they are still intact." An says and gives me room.

" We should leave, she's in good hands here." An says grabbing Last Boss and pulling him out.

Kuina looks at me with sad eyes before leaving too. I hear Niragi sigh and stand up, he grabs his gun and walks towards the door.

"No!" I shout and he whips around and looks at me startled.

"No, what baby?" He asks taking a step closer and I hold my hand out to him, he places his gun down and walks over, and takes my hand, he brings it to his lips and kisses every finger, I pull him to lay down next to me and he pulls me in close, nestled between Niragi and Chishiya is the safest I've ever felt, and for the first time since coming to The Beach, I get proper sleep.
