Artemis pov

Getting to The Beach I'm taken straight to An's lab. When she sees me her eyes widen and she comes right over clearing a spot on a table for me to sit.

The worse part of this whole night was that Kuina and Chishiya were waiting for us to get back, and Niragi who was ignoring me since yelling at me told them that I promised to stay by his side then left and got hurt so now Im being bitched out by them too.

I sit and without being asked unzip my shirt for her to look at the wound as Chishiya and Kuina continue to scold me talking over each other, as Niragi paces with his glare set on me.

An takes one look at my tired and shame-filled face and snaps.

"Everyone shut up or get the hell out!" An whirls on them and snaps, they all go quiet and stand behind her to take a look at the wound giving An and me peace and quiet and the proper space we need.

"Are you okay?" An asks and I shrug with a wobbly lip, she strokes my cheek before looking at the wound.

"You'll need some stitches, some parts are deeper than others but overall the scratch isn't too bad, what did this?" An asks and LB walks over and takes my shaking hand in his freezing one An glances at him but allows it.

"Panther, It bit my thigh too but it's not to bad, probably just needs cleaning and a bandage." I tell her and she nods.

She pushes my shoulder back until I lay down and cleans the wound on my stomach, as LB strokes my hands with a washcloth I didn't realize he was holding, he cleans the blood off my hands and face.

When she's done stitching me up she wraps my wast up with bandages and gauze.

"I can barely move with this shit." I tell her with a frown on my face, She looks at me disapproving.

"You're not supposed to be able to." She says back." I need your pants off, I kick off my boots and undo the button, I lift my hips and she helps pull the pants down leaving me in a sports bra with my waist wrapped up in gauze, and my cheeky styled panties.

"How am I supposed to play in games with this?" I tug lightly on the gauze and she slaps my hand making me wince.

"You need at least a week before playing again is that possible?" She asks and I sigh.

"I don't like it but Yeah." I mutter as she cleans my thigh and she looks up at me raising a brow.

"I'm trying to build up my visa, besides I've gotten hurt worse and still played, I should be fine." I tell her and An sighs eyeing the scars along my body, she traces one before wrapping my leg.

"If your leg starts hurting worse after 2 to 3 days tell me, it could be infection or something worse." An says and I nod. I go to jump off the table but she stops me, she traces a scar on my shoulder.

"Gunshot?" She asks and I nod and she frowns." The scar doesn't look right, it still looks sensitive." She says and looks at other scars along my body." A lot of them don't look right."

I sigh." I didn't always have a needle and thread, some I burned closed with a hot knife." I tell her.

"Do they hurt?" She asks and I hesitantly nod.

" Mostly when I'm cold or when I touch them." I tell her and she hums.

" Go straight to bed and get some rest." An says and I nod as she helps pull my pants back on, LB helps me off the table and I reach down and grab my boots, I avoid the other's eyes and walk past them without a word. I can feel them watching me but they ultimately let me leave without complaint, LB walks me to my room and watches me curl up in bed, he sticks around for a little while until I hear my door open and close softly.

NIragi's pov

I was furious. I was angry before I saw her, we had a deal and she broke it, I ran around all night killing any animal or human in my way as I looked for her only to come up empty-handed. Aguni had to drag me to the entrance and keep an eye on me to stop my search for her as I was killing people well after the game ended. It was their fault, they should've moved out of my way.

When I saw her my anger grew, how dare she disobey and come back hurt?

I yelled at her the whole car ride back to The Beach then gave her the cold shoulder as Kuina and Chishiya started shouting at her.

An fixed her up and as she sat on that table half naked and I was able to see every scar that marred her body my anger bubbled once more.

I wanted to kill whoever decided to hurt her, I wanted to tear them to shreds with my hands and teeth, she was my bunny, my bunny to protect, my bunny to hurt and my bunny to give pleasure to.

When she was done she walked out as we watched.

"Give her some slack, she's used to being on her own with no one looking out for her." An speaks up and I scoff.

"She could have died." I say angrily practically spitting the words out of my mouth like acid and she turns to me.

"We all could die at any moment, lasers can shoot out from the sky and kill us all right now, she's trying her best to adapt to us." An says and I shake my head.

"I was terrified." I reply honestly and everyone looks at me in surprise as I open up and get vulnerable.

"I was running around killing anyone or thing in my way looking for her and I couldn't find her." I tell them and clench my fist." She promised."

An sighs and approaches me gently, she takes my hand shocking me and the people around me.

It was at this moment that we all collectively realized something. Artemis wasn't just a bright light in this dark and twisted world, she brought lonely people together, and she created a family.

"Imagine how scared she was, alone and in danger. When she walked in she looked so shameful, she almost cried and I don't think it was because she was in pain but because she felt she let you down, for whatever reason she broke that promise, for what it's worth, I don't think she meant too." An speaks.

I sigh and look down at the hand holding mine.
