"On a scale of one to ten, I'm at a hundred
Never get enough, I can't stay away"
The Way

Almost two months had passed since Avan's party, and a lot had changed. "Victorious" had officially wrapped, and while Amara felt the bittersweet sting of saying goodbye to the show that had defined much of her young career, she was eagerly diving into the next chapter—working on her album. Today was especially thrilling as she was filming the music video for her song, "The Way."
The vibe of the video was playful and romantic, featuring a duet between Amara and a rapper, but what made the shoot more exciting was that Nicholas was playing her love interest. They'd been hanging out constantly since the party, going on dates, flirting, and building something between them. But even with all the chemistry, Nicholas hadn't made anything official, and they hadn't kissed yet.
As she finished getting ready, her phone buzzed with a text from him.
Nick 💕
Hey, I'm outside. Ready to be your leading man today 💪🏻
Amara grinned, quickly typing her response.
you better be!
i've got high expectations you know 🤔
Just then, the door to her dressing room swung open, and there stood Nicholas with that playful grin she'd come to love. "What's this I hear about high expectations?" he teased.
Amara laughed, feeling the familiar warmth she always got around him. "You'll be great. Thanks for doing this."
Nicholas shrugged casually. "Anything for you. Plus, how could I pass up being in a music video with you?"She smiled, her heart fluttering. "Alright, let's go."
Before they left, Nicholas gave her a quick look, his eyes softening. "You look really pretty, by the way."Amara blushed at his compliment, glancing away as she murmured, "Thanks."
The day on set flew by. They filmed most of the video, the vibe between them effortless and fun. It felt natural being close to Nicholas, laughing, and sharing those playful looks as the cameras captured their chemistry. But as the day wound down, the director approached with a grin.
"Alright, so here's the part where you and Nicholas get close—real close," he said with a wink. "We're going for a kiss at the end. Keep it romantic but natural."
Amara blinked, her heart suddenly racing. A kiss? She hadn't been expecting that. She glanced over at Nicholas, who was already standing in position for the next take. He caught her eye and smiled reassuringly. Despite his calm exterior, her nerves buzzed. "Ready?" the director called, and Amara nodded, stepping into place next to Nicholas.
As the music started, she found herself easing into the scene. Nicholas played his part flawlessly—smiling, teasing, and making her laugh as if the cameras weren't even there. The chemistry between them crackled under the lights, and as they moved closer, Amara could feel the electricity building.
Finally, they reached the climax of the scene. The music swelled, and Nicholas leaned down, his gaze locking onto hers. For a split second, Amara reminded herself this was just acting, but the moment felt real, almost too real.
Without missing a beat, Nicholas leaned in and kissed her. His lips were soft, warm, and gentle, sending a rush of butterflies through her chest. It was brief, but enough to leave her breathless. When they pulled back, there was a brief moment of silence before the director's voice rang out.
