" So, come on, let it go, just let it be
Why don't you be you, and I'll be me?
Everything that's broke, leave it to the breeze
Why don't you be you, and I'll be me? "
Let it go

Amara & Nicholas have been together for over a year now, practically inseparable, living in each other's spaces. She had turned 19 recently, and her mom had moved back to Miami a few months after her 18th birthday. It had been tough for her, but having Nicholas & her friends around had made it easier and she makes sure to call her everyday.
Her debut album, Yours Truly, had been a huge success, and she was already in the process of writing her next album while waiting for her new show, Euphoria, to start filming. Everything would have been perfect if it weren't for the constant bickering between her and Nicholas. They loved each other deeply, but sometimes it felt like they'd been together for decades, like an old couple who just knew how to push each other's buttons. When they were good, they were amazing. But when they fought, it was like a bomb going off.
Today is one of the good days—sort of. They have had a a minor disagreement yesterday over something as trivial as what to order for dinner, but it had quickly escalated, both of them digging their heels in.
"No way, I'm really in the mood for pizza," Nicholas said, determined. "Pizza? We literally had it last night!" Amara shot back, crossing her arms. "I want sushi. Besides, we always get what you want."
Nicholas let out a frustrated sigh, clenching his jaw. "We do not always get what I want, and you're being ridiculous. Pizza is perfect for tonight, and you know it."
Amara rolled her eyes, not budging. "Ridiculous? I'm being ridiculous? Why can't we just get sushi for once? Why is it always pizza?"
Nicholas shook his head with a bitter laugh. "Because pizza's a classic! No one in their right mind would pick sushi over pizza."
"Really?" Amara threw her hands up. "Just because it's a 'classic' doesn't mean we can't switch it up once in a while! And besides, sushi is healthy. You practically called me fat the other day."
Nicholas's eyes widened. "I never called you fat! You know I love your body."
"Oh, yes, you did," Amara argued, deepening her voice to mimic him. "'Aren't you going to join me at the gym today?' That's what you said!"
Nicholas groaned, running a hand through his hair. "Because you asked me to train you, remember?!"
After a few tense minutes of silence, both Amara and Nicholas realized how silly their argument had been. They exchanged glances across the room, both of them still simmering, but starting to soften as they noticed the spark of amusement in each other's eyes.
Nicholas let out a small sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. "Look, I'm sorry. I guess I got a little stubborn about the whole pizza thing. We can get sushi if you really want."
Amara smiled slightly, her annoyance beginning to melt. "I wasn't exactly being fair either. I know how much you love pizza... I just wanted something different."
Nicholas took a step closer, his gaze softening. "I didn't mean to make you feel like your choice didn't matter."
Amara's expression softened too, the tension between them easing. She took his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "And I know you didn't mean anything by the gym comment. I guess I was just feeling a little sensitive."
