Amara and Nicholas wandered through the cobblestone streets of Paris, hand in hand. As they reached the Seine, Nicholas pulled her close.
"Alright, scene time. Before Sunset," he whispered, adopting a slightly over-the-top serious tone. "Tell me, Amara, do you believe in true love?"
Amara burst out laughing. "Stop! You sound like a melodramatic soap actor! Channeling your Spencer Cassadine."
He smirked. "Excuse me, madame, this is art. I'm channeling Ethan Hawke."
"Well," Amara said, spinning dramatically. "I think love is... finding someone who steals your last croissant and lives to tell the tale."
"Funny you say that," Nicholas deadpanned, lifting a croissant from her bag.
She gasped. "Give that back!"
"Nope. This is love," he teased, taking a big bite, only for a pigeon to swoop down and snatch it from his hand.
Nicholas froze, Amara doubled over laughing. "Paris is truly magical," he muttered.
Later, as the Eiffel Tower sparkled, Nicholas held her close and murmured, "Okay, maybe this is even better than the movies."

Amara and Nicholas strolled through the picturesque streets of Lyon, sampling bouchons for authentic local cuisine. They spent the day exploring the Old Town, getting lost in its narrow passageways, and marveling at the city's vibrant murals.
By the time they returned to their hotel room, full of wine and cheese, Nicholas dramatically flopped onto the bed.
"Alright, Mrs. Chavez," he teased, his words slurring slightly, "you know what time it is?"
Amara raised an eyebrow. "What?"
"Time to get drunk and nasty."
She laughed, crawling onto the bed beside him. "Too bad you're already halfway to 'passed out and snoring.'"
"Not true," he pouted. "I've got one more dance in me."
She smirked, grabbing her phone and turning on music. "Let's see your moves, Romeo."
Nicholas groggily attempted a very wobbly two-step before collapsing back into bed, pulling her with him.
Later that night, Amara and Nicholas lounged on the hotel balcony overlooking the Rhône River, wrapped in a shared blanket as the cool night air settled around them.
"You know," Amara began, her voice soft, "I think Lyon might be my favorite stop so far."
Nicholas smiled, kissing the top of her head. "It's definitely top-tier, but I'm not sure if it's the city or the company."
"Smooth," she teased, nudging him. "But I'll allow it."
They sat in peaceful silence for a moment before Nicholas grinned mischievously. "Want to raid the minibar and make it a night to remember?"
Amara raised an eyebrow. "Oh, so now you're ready to party?"
"Always," he said with mock seriousness. "Just...maybe after a nap."
