"What?" Her mouth was slightly open out of pure shock at Azfar's words.

"Iraj." He sighed, "My parents are here. We have to stay in the same room till they are here."

"Oh." His explanation made things clear for her.

"Yes, now go there. I'll go and put a lock on your room and be there in a while. If anyone from my parents end up seeing your room during their house tour it'll be a complete disaster for us." He shook his head and went up the stairs walking past her.

"Hmph. Disaster for us. It's not even because of me that we are in separate rooms so why should I be in trouble. Mien toh saaf saaf bol dungi ke yeh sab inka idea tha isme meri ghalti nahi." She grumbled to herself in a small voice.

(I'll clearly say that it was all his idea and I've no fault in it.)

Going inside Azfar's room she stood in the center of the place and waited. "Iraj? Why are you standing like that." He passed her sleeping outfit to her that he had brought from her closet.

"Where will I sleep?" She asked flatly.

"On the bed, where else?" He said in an obvious tone.

"And you?" She narrowed her eyes.

"The bed, Iraj." He shook his head at her irrelevant question.

"Only one of us will sleep on the bed." She was suddenly feeling vengeful.

"What? Iraj—this is a joke right?" He couldn't believe at night she had the energy to do this.

"No, I'm serious. Will you sleep on the floor or not?" She held the clothes to her chest folding her hands around it.

"I can't sleep on the floor Iraj. It's not possible." He didn't want to even have a conversation about this.

"Fine. Then I'll sleep on the floor." She moved to his changing room without waiting for his response and came out after getting into her shirt and shorts.

"Iraj, you can't be serious about the floor thing." He said when he saw her taking the pillow and quilt down.

"I am not some clown Azfar. Why will I joke about this?" She set her pillow on the floor and pulled the rug towards it and laid down on the floor.

"Iraj." He was on the bed, sitting on the edge of it staring at her with a helpless expression.

"Good night Azfar." He didn't know what to do anymore. She was so stubborn.

Before he could further say something there was a knock on their door that made the two of them very alarmed and Iraj sat up staring at her husband who was doing the same.

"Azfar? Beta are you asleep?" It was Sadiya's voice from behind the door that had caused a frenzy inside the room.

Azfar at once leapt at his wife and lifted her from the floor hurrying towards the bed and laid her down there, "Pull the covers over." He whispered with haste.
