"We are fucking locked outside our house at night Iraj." He seethed at her but she was too stubborn to care.
"I'll go to baba's." She turned to leave.
"You will do no such thing." He held her wrist, "This is so irresponsible, Iraj. Completely irresponsible." He shook his head closing his eyes.
"You're more irresponsible for not taking your set of keys with you." She pointed her finger towards him with the accusation.
"Fine. Fine." He had given up, there was no way he could let her go to her father's house at this time for this reason. That would definitely make him look like the worst man to be the person who was responsible for Iraj. She did go and stay there for days when he'd leave for his work trips but not when he was there. Never.
"It's my fault." He said only to make her stop from going, "I'll call someone to open the door and get us a set of keys." He took his phone out and started dialing a number. "Yes, send someone, right away."
He was still holding her wrist in his hand all along and then started to walk towards their garden area where a few chairs and tables were. "Sit down." He gestured her to sit.
"No, I'm good." Her hands were tired of holding the bags and Azfar knew his wife was not a person who could do a lot physically. He took the bags from her hands and before he could set them on the table she gasped out loud, "Azfar! Why have you become so vulgar! Don't take those!"
"I'm not taking those Iraj!" He shut his eyes tightly and placed the bags on the table with annoyance.
"Oh. Okay then." She pressed her lips together and then sat down on the chair. "Why aren't you sitting?" She asked after a while.
"I'm standing to see if the key guy is nearing the door from here." He kept on looking in the direction of the driveway.
"Why couldn't you just break the door? Itnay muscles banany ka kya faida, use to kuch ho nahi raha." She shrugged with a yawn indicating that she was tired.
(What's the point of even working out for those muscles, they're not even being used.)
"Iraj, I'm sorry." He felt like it was because of him she was now sitting outside and was unable to rest.
"It's okay. I forgive you. I have a very big heart." She replied without hesitation, very proudly.
He smiled at his wife who was always so spot on with her self love. She was a woman who was always looked beautiful. There were times when Azfar had to remind himself that she didn't want him as her husband, and he couldn't just want to touch her or do things a man could to his wife to love her.
"I think the guy's there." Iraj had her eyes at the door view while her husband had been dazed by her.
"Uh, yeah. I'll go check." He cleared his throat and turned to go to the man who was supposed get their door unlocked.
