Chapter: The Unexpected Meeting with Dada Ji

__________

After her unusual run-in with Rudransh, Aarya had gone back to her routine, only occasionally recalling the strange, stubborn man she’d encountered.

It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, and Aarya had decided to spend her free time at a nearby orphanage. The children there held a special place in her heart, and she often visited, bringing small treats and listening to their stories. Today was no different. As she sat among a group of kids, laughing and sharing their little adventures, she didn’t notice an elderly figure watching her from the side.

Harish Suryawanshi, or Dada ji as he was affectionately called by family, was there on a visit himself. He rarely smiled openly but had a keen eye for sincerity, and the way Aarya interacted with the children intrigued him. Her warmth was genuine, and the children’s trust in her spoke volumes.

As he approached, one of the younger kids tugged on Aarya’s arm. “Didi, look! Dada ji is here!”

Aarya looked up, surprised to see an elderly gentleman standing there with a gentle smile. She immediately stood up, a little flustered by his sudden presence, and greeted him respectfully, “Namaste, Dada ji.”

Harish raised his eyebrows, amused. “Dada ji, hmm? Isn’t it a bit early for that title?”

Aarya smiled sheepishly. “Woh… if you don’t mind, may I call you Dada ji? Or maybe… Dado?” She gave him an innocent look, genuinely waiting for his approval.

Harish chuckled, his usually stern face softening. “Dado? No one’s ever called me that. It has a nice ring to it. Alright, Dado it is.”

Aarya grinned, pleased. “Thank you, Dado! It’s easier than saying ‘Harish sir’ or ‘uncle.’ Dado just feels… right.”

They shared a quiet laugh, the moment unexpectedly They talked with each other and became friends instantly.Dada ji liked aarya nature our much and loving the time he is spending with her.Aarya share her many childhood memories and make him laugh with antics.

As they walked further into the orphanage, Aarya’s clumsiness made an appearance. She tripped over a small toy on the floor, catching herself just in time. Harish looked over, an amused smirk on his face. “Aap toh kaafi... delicate ho, beta.”

He comes to know that our araya is a clumsy person.

Aarya blushed, scratching her head awkwardly. “Bas, Dado, yeh mere saath har jagah hota hai (This happens to me everywhere). Clumsiness and I are best friends.”

Harish let out a hearty laugh, a sound rare to those who knew him. “Shayad tumhe kisi protector ki zaroorat hai jo tumhare saath chalta rahe,” he said, his eyes twinkling with humor. (Maybe you need a protector who can stay beside you at all times.)

Aarya nodded, trying to hide her embarrassment. “Maybe you can be my guardian, Dado?” she asked with a playful smile.

Harish smirked. “Well, you’ve got my protection today, at least. Aur tumhe dekh kar lagta hai ki tum bachon ke saath bachchi ban sakti ho, par saath hi apni responsibility bhi samajhti ho (Seeing you, it seems you can be a child with the children, yet you understand your responsibilities well).”

Aarya smiled, touched by his words. “Thank you, Dado. I just believe that a little kindness can go a long way.”

Harish noticed her calm, caring way with the children. When one little girl struggled to untangle her hair, Aarya knelt down and gently helped her, brushing through each knot with patience and a warm smile.

“Tum toh badi acchi ho, beta,” Harish commented, watching her in admiration. “Kitna pyaar hai tumhare dil mein.” (You’re quite kind, child. So much love in your heart.)

Aarya looked up, flustered. “Bas... Dada ji, bacchon mein kuch khaas hota hai. Woh dil se baat karte hain.” (It's just that... Dada ji, children have something special. They speak from the heart.)

He nodded, his gaze softening. “Woh toh tumhare liye bhi kah sakte hain. Tum bhi toh waise hi baat karti ho.” (That could be said for you too. You speak from the heart as well.)

As they continued to chat, Harish realized how comfortable he felt around Aarya—a girl he’d just met. She had somehow broken through his stern exterior with her sincerity and warmth. He couldn’t help but feel a deep fondness for her, one that was rare for him to experience.

Aarya laughed, feeling an unexpected connection with this gentle, friendly Dada ji or her Dado When it was finally time for her to leave, she gave him a warm smile. “Dado, agli baar bhi milenge, promise?” (Dado , we’ll meet again next time, promise?)

Harish’s gaze softened. “Bilkul, aaru( nickname of araya which she told him). Tumse milkar toh mujhe bhi acha laga beta .” (Certainly, child. I enjoyed meeting you too.)

As she left, Harish found himself smiling, feeling a warmth he hadn’t in a long time.
