Chapter: The First Official Day
---
Aarya arrived early on her first official day, determined to make a positive impression. She was just straightening some files on her desk when a tall man with a friendly smile approached her.
"Hi, Aarya? I'm Sagar, the Office Manager here. We met briefly yesterday, but let's make it official with a proper introduction," he greeted warmly.
Aarya returned the smile. "Ji! Nice to meet you, sir."
Sagar raised an eyebrow playfully. "Waise, yahan sirf 'Sagar' chalega. No sir-we're all colleagues here, even friends."
Aarya nodded with enthusiasm. "Got it, Sagar! Friends banana toh waise bhi achhi baat hoti hai-I love making new friends!"
Sagar chuckled. "Good to see that enthusiasm. By the way, tumhe pata hai na? Rudra sir ke liye black coffee tum banogi. No sugar, no milk-just strong."
Aarya's inner monologue kicked in: Jaise unka nature, waise unki coffee bhi-bilkul taste-less! Black coffee? Kaise peete hain yeh log? Mera toh bina sugar ke din nahi shuru hota! But she simply smiled and replied, "No problem, ekdum kadak black coffee coming right up!"
---
Aarya prepared the coffee with utmost care, determined to prove her efficiency. She knocked on Rudransh's door and entered, carefully placing the steaming cup on his desk.
"Good morning, sir. Aapki coffee," she said with a bright smile.
Rudransh glanced at her briefly before picking up the cup. Taking a sip, he paused. Though he found the taste perfect, his expression remained neutral.
"It's... fine. Lekin next time, make it a little stronger," he said with a tone that could freeze a summer afternoon.
Aarya blinked, slightly deflated. "Of course, sir. Agli baar aur better banaungi."
As she walked out, she muttered under her breath, "Black coffee ko aur kaise strong banayein? Jaadu kar doon kya?"
From behind, Rudransh's deep voice startled her. "Ms. Kapoor, agar bolna hi hai, toh thoda zor se bolo, taaki main clearly sun saku."
Aarya turned, her cheeks flushing. She fumbled for words, "Oh... woh... bas... main self-motivation kar rahi thi, sir!"
Rudransh gave her a piercing look. "Self-motivation? Interesting. Aap yeh 'self-motivation' apne desk par jaake continue karein."
She nodded hastily, tripping slightly on her way out. As she disappeared, Rudransh allowed himself a faint smirk. Kaafi alag hai, yeh Ms. Kapoor.

Back at her desk, Aarya settled in, only to be called back by Rudransh with a thick stack of files.
"These need a detailed analysis by lunch," he said briskly. "No mistakes."
Aarya glanced at the files, her confidence undeterred. "Of course, sir. Aapko perfect ka hi kaam milega."
As she worked, her phone buzzed. Reaching for it, she accidentally knocked over a glass of water onto her notes.
"Arghh!" she groaned, quickly grabbing tissues to mop up the mess. The harder she tried, the worse it seemed to get, water spreading across her desk like a small flood.
Sagar passed by and stopped, biting back a laugh. "Lagta hai tum kisi 'artistic project' par kaam kar rahi ho."
Aarya, embarrassed but unable to hold back her grin, replied, "Bas... meri creativity ka overflow ho gaya."
