The sun shone brightly as Reverie, Noah, Theodore, and Danielle strolled through the vibrant garden, the scent of blooming flowers wafting through the air. The cheerful chirping of birds and the gentle rustling of leaves created a serene atmosphere that contrasted sharply with the storm brewing in Reverie’s heart.

“Look at those sunflowers!” Danielle exclaimed, pointing to the towering yellow blooms. “They’re so cheerful! We should definitely get some.”

Noah chuckled, “I think they’d match your personality perfectly, Dani.” He turned to Reverie, his eyes sparkling. “What about you, Reverie? What flower screams ‘Reverie’ to you?”

She laughed, momentarily distracted. “Probably a daisy, simple and cheerful!” She felt the warmth of Noah’s gaze linger on her, making her heart flutter.

As they entered the quaint flower shop, the group immediately scattered, browsing the colorful assortment of flowers. Reverie wandered to a corner, running her fingers over the petals of a delicate lavender bouquet, but her thoughts drifted.

Suddenly, she was hit with a vivid memory. “Aries...” she whispered, her heart constricting.

Flashback: Two Years Ago

Reverie stood in the same garden, hand in hand with Aries, surrounded by vibrant blooms that danced gently in the warm breeze. The sun cast a golden glow, wrapping everything in a soft, ethereal light. It felt like a scene from a fairy tale, a moment suspended in time. Each flower seemed to mirror the joy in her heart, their bright colors reflecting the happiness that radiated between them.

As they strolled through the garden, the world around them faded into the background. The laughter of children playing nearby and the distant chirping of birds created a soundtrack that was both joyful and serene. It was a perfect day. A day that felt as if it would last forever.

Suddenly, Aries stopped, pulling Reverie to a halt. He looked up at her, his expression shifting from playful to serious. The charming smile that usually adorned his face was replaced by a sincerity that sent her heart racing.

“Reverie,” he said, kneeling down on one knee, his eyes locked onto hers, “will you be my girlfriend? I love you.”

His words hung in the air like a beautiful melody, sweet and intoxicating. Time seemed to stand still, and for a moment, nothing else mattered. Reverie's heart soared as she processed his question, her breath catching in her throat. Tears of joy welled in her eyes, blurring the vibrant colors of the garden around her.

“Of course, I will!” she exclaimed, her voice breaking with emotion. She threw her arms around him as he stood up, enveloping him in a tight embrace. Their laughter echoed through the garden, mingling with the sound of rustling leaves and the gentle hum of nature.

In that moment, nothing could pierce the bubble of happiness that surrounded them. They were young and in love, the world full of promise and endless possibilities. Reverie felt like the luckiest girl alive, her heart brimming with affection for the boy who had just made her feel like a princess. They spent the rest of the day exploring the garden, running hand in hand through the rows of blooming flowers, each step filled with lightness and joy.

But as Reverie recalled that perfect day, a bittersweet ache settled in her heart. She closed her eyes, allowing the memories to wash over her like a wave, a mix of warmth and pain. Those moments seemed so far away now, like fragments of a dream that had faded into the shadows of her mind. The laughter they shared, the promises whispered under the sun, felt like a different lifetime.
