The late afternoon sun spilled through the large windows of Wellington High's library, casting a warm glow over the wooden shelves and study tables. The four friends sat together, tucked into their usual corner, where they could speak without the librarian's disapproving glare. Danielle had her legs propped up on the chair next to her, flipping through a magazine, while Theodore scribbled something in his notebook, occasionally glancing up at the others.

Reverie sat quietly, pretending to read, but her mind was elsewhere, stuck replaying the cafe conversation from a few days ago. The weight of the threats she had shared with her friends still hung in the air like a dark cloud. Kazu, with his menacing presence, had become a source of constant anxiety for her. It was no longer just her secret. Noah, Danielle, and Theodore knew now too. They'd even had a sleepover at Noah's house after the café, just to make sure she wasn't alone. But now, Noah had something else on his mind, and it had been bothering him for days.

Noah cleared his throat, breaking the silence. "Guys, I've been thinking."

Danielle glanced up from her magazine, raising an eyebrow. "Uh oh, that sounds dangerous. What's on your mind, Noah?"

Theodore gave Noah a sideways glance, setting his pen down. "You've got that serious face again, man. What's going on?"

Reverie looked up from her book, her fingers twitching slightly as anxiety washed over her. The last time Noah had that look, they'd ended up discussing Kazu and the threats that had been keeping her awake at night.

Noah took a deep breath, glancing at Reverie for a moment before addressing the group. "I've been thinking a lot about what happened the other night at the cafe... about what Erie told us. And honestly, I'm still worried."

Reverie stiffened, her eyes darting to the floor. She knew this was about her again. "Noah, I'm fine," she said quickly, though even she didn't fully believe it. "We already stayed over at your place. You don't have to keep worrying about me."

Danielle sat up straighter, her usual playful expression fading as she nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we're all worried about you, Rev. Kazu's dangerous, and I hate that you're even dealing with this."

Theodore sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Same here. I've been thinking about that creep non-stop. But we can't exactly follow you around everywhere, you know?"

Noah, clearly ready to reveal his plan, shifted in his seat. "Actually, that's exactly what I wanted to talk to you guys about. I have an idea."

Danielle leaned forward, intrigued. "Okay, now you've got my attention. What's this idea of yours?"

Noah straightened up and glanced at Reverie again before continuing, "So... a while back, my parents bought me a house. It's in my name and everything. It's just a few streets away from here, and I only go there sometimes, like when I need space or when I want some peace and quiet." He paused, letting that sink in before he dropped the bomb. "But I've been thinking, why don't we all just move in there? Live together under the same roof."

There was a brief silence as the others absorbed his words.

Danielle blinked, clearly shocked. "Wait, are you serious? Like, actually living together?"

Theodore chuckled, a mixture of surprise and amusement on his face. "Man, are you saying we should have one giant sleepover... forever?"

Noah nodded, his expression serious but with a hint of a grin. "Yeah, sort of. I mean, think about it. It would be safer for Erie if she wasn't alone all the time. Kazu wouldn't know where she is, and we could keep an eye on her better if we were all in one place. Plus, it's not like I'm using the house much anyway."

Reverie finally spoke, her voice small and hesitant. "Noah, I... I don't want to be a burden. You don't have to do this for me."

Noah shook his head firmly. "It's not just for you, Erie. We're friends, and we look out for each other. Besides," he added, a small smile tugging at his lips, "I wouldn't mind having you guys around. It'll be fun, like a real family."

Danielle grinned widely, clearly warming to the idea. "Honestly, that sounds amazing. I mean, no parents, freedom to do whatever we want, and we get to live with each other? Count me in."

Theodore nodded, though his face still showed some concern. "Yeah, I'm down. But, Noah... are you sure about this? I mean, your parents are cool with us just taking over your house?"

Noah shrugged, leaning back in his chair. "They don't really care as long as I don't trash the place. It's mine, anyway. They bought it as a birthday gift last year, so I can do what I want with it."

Reverie still looked unsure, her brow furrowed in thought. "But... what if Kazu finds out? What if he-"

"No." Noah's voice was firm, cutting through her worries. "He won't. Not unless we tell him, and we won't. Besides, the house is secure, and we'll stick together. You'll be safe with us, I promise."

Danielle clapped her hands together. "So it's settled then? We're moving in with Noah?"

Theodore grinned. "Looks like it. I can already imagine it now. Pizza nights, movie marathons, and me finally getting some sleep without my little brothers barging in every five minutes."

Reverie looked at each of them, her heart swelling with gratitude. The idea of living with them, of being surrounded by friends who cared so much, felt like a lifeline. She still had her doubts, but for the first time in a long time, there was a flicker of hope.

Noah reached across the table, his hand resting on hers gently. "We're a team, Erie. We've got your back. So what do you say?"

Reverie smiled, a small but genuine smile. "Okay... let's do it."

Danielle threw her hands up in the air, excitement bubbling over. "Yes! This is gonna be epic!"

Theodore laughed, shaking his head at Danielle's enthusiasm. "Yeah, well, don't get too comfortable. I'm not doing all the cooking."

Noah grinned, standing up from his chair. "Alright, then it's settled. We move in this weekend. I'll get everything ready, and we can start fresh."

As they packed up their things and left the library, there was a sense of relief in the air. For once, Reverie didn't feel so alone, and with her friends by her side, maybe, just maybe, things would start to get better.
