The four friends returned home few hours ago, their laughter filling the spacious hallway of Noah’s grand house. Sunlight streamed through the large windows, casting a warm glow on the inviting interior. The aroma of something delicious wafted from the kitchen, a testament to Theodore’s culinary skills. He was already prepping for dinner, humming to himself as he chopped vegetables.

“Ah, it smells amazing in here!” Reverie exclaimed, her tiredness momentarily forgotten as she inhaled the savory scent.

Noah leaned against the kitchen counter, grinning. “Theo’s cooking, of course! What did you expect? A chef in the making?”

“More like a kitchen monster!” Danielle quipped, rolling her eyes playfully. She tossed her backpack onto the sofa, revealing the clutter of textbooks and notes. “We should just have a cooking competition one of these days. I’ll totally win.”

“Sure, if you’re cooking instant noodles!” Noah teased, ruffling her hair as she swatted his hand away, laughing.

While they chatted, Theodore worked diligently, expertly slicing and dicing. “Alright, everyone! Time to wash your hands and set the table. Dinner will be ready in fifteen!” He instructed, his voice commanding yet warm.

As they settled into their routine, Danielle grabbed a couple of plates from the cupboard, her expression shifting to concentration. “So, I was thinking we could have some traditional Korean dishes tonight. What do you all think?”

“Sounds great! As long as you’re not making anything too spicy,” Noah replied, making a face. “I’m still recovering from last week’s kimchi stew.”

“I promise nothing too spicy,” Danielle laughed. “Maybe just some bibimbap. It’s healthy, and you can customize it!”

“Bibimbap? Is that the one with the mixed rice and vegetables?” asked Reverie, her curiosity piqued.

“Exactly! It’s a classic. In Korean, we say, ‘비빔밥’ (bibimbap), pronounced ‘bee-beem-bahp,’” she explained, beaming. “It means mixed rice. And I’ll teach you how to make it!”

“Sounds like a plan! I’ll be your sous-chef!” Reverie grinned, bouncing on her feet.

The kitchen was alive with the sounds of sizzling and chopping, the tantalizing aroma of Theodore’s cooking filling the air. Once the table was set, they all gathered around, anticipation buzzing in the atmosphere.

“Dinner’s ready!” Theodore announced proudly, bringing in a vibrant bowl of bibimbap. The colorful array of vegetables and perfectly cooked rice looked appealing, garnished with a sunny-side-up egg on top.

“Wow, that looks amazing!” Reverie said, her eyes widening in delight as Theodore placed the bowl on the table. “I’m going to devour this!”

They each served themselves, the warm steam rising, creating an inviting atmosphere. As they dug in, the first bites were met with satisfied sighs.

“This is delicious, Theo! You’re a culinary genius,” Noah praised, nodding appreciatively.

“Yeah, you’re better than any restaurant we could go to,” Danielle added, shoveling a forkful into her mouth. However, her enjoyment quickly turned to mischief as she glanced at Noah. “Just don’t let him cook for the school potluck. Remember last time?”

Noah’s face fell as he recalled the culinary disaster. “Hey! That was one time! The smoke alarm went off for a reason!”

“More like a fire alarm,” Reverie chimed in, her eyes sparkling with laughter. She shot Noah a playful side-eye, her mouth still full of rice.
