taylor's pov:

As the wheels of my jet touched down in Kansas City, my heart raced, the thrill of doing something a little reckless bringing a smile to my face. I hadn't told a soul where I was going, not even my family or my publicist. It felt like my little secret, something just for me. For once, I didn't want to deal with the endless questions, the attention. I just wanted to see him.

The plane door opened, and I could already see him waiting near the runway, hands in his pockets, a small grin lighting up his face. Travis Kelce, standing there in jeans and a flannel, looking every bit like someone who felt like home.

I quickly grabbed my overnight bag and made my way down the steps. He met me at the bottom, his arms already opening up for a hug. "Hey, you made it," he murmured, wrapping me up in that warm, familiar way that immediately made me forget the world for a second.

"Hey," I whispered back, pulling away with a shy smile. "You didn't wait long, did you?"

"Nah, not at all. But I would've." He flashed me a grin that made me laugh as we headed toward his car. "Ready for the weekend?"

"More than ready," I replied, slipping into the passenger seat of his truck. There was something so grounding about sitting there beside him, like I was stepping into a simpler life, even if only for a couple of days.

As he started the car, I caught sight of Drew and Callum, my security team, stepping out of a separate car just behind us, looking ready to follow wherever we went. I knew they'd be around, but I hadn't even thought about what they'd do the whole weekend.

Travis must've noticed me glancing at them because he smiled, like he'd anticipated exactly what I was thinking. "By the way, I've got Drew and Callum covered."

I raised an eyebrow, curious. "Oh yeah?"

He nodded, glancing over at me as we pulled out onto the road. "Yeah. I figured they might need somewhere to stay too, so I set up a guesthouse-style Airbnb for them, right by my place. Told them they're welcome to hang out, kick back, whatever they need."

For a moment, I just stared at him, a little stunned. No one had ever thought to plan anything like that for them. It was always assumed they'd just "make it work," no matter where I was. But Travis... he'd actually thought it through. Drew and Callum would have a place to be comfortable, too, not just follow me around the whole weekend.

"That... that's really thoughtful of you," I said, feeling the warmth of gratitude bloom in my chest. "I don't think anyone's ever done something like that for them before."

He shrugged, looking a little bashful. "Figured they deserve it. Plus, I thought it'd make the whole weekend easier for you if they're settled too."

It was such a small thing, but it spoke volumes about him, how he cared, how he paid attention to the people around him, even if they weren't in the spotlight. I found myself smiling, realizing that this wasn't just a weekend trip to see someone I was interested in; this was a chance to be around someone who really got it, who made everything feel a little easier, a little lighter.

We drove in comfortable silence for the rest of the way, a mix of excitement and calm settling over me as the city streets turned into quieter neighborhoods. And as we pulled up to his house, I felt a mix of emotions, excitement, nerves, something else I couldn't quite place but knew I didn't want to overthink.

When we stepped inside, he gave me a tour, showing me around the cozy rooms and pointing out little things that made this place his home. Finally, he led me to the guest house where Drew and Callum were already getting settled.

"There you go, guys," Travis said, giving them a nod. "Anything you need, just let me know."

Drew gave him a respectful nod. "Thanks, Travis. This is above and beyond."
