If the Lord was watching, Eboni knew she needed Him!

Eboni watched Malakai yank the covers against his naked body. The disgust in his eyes mortified Eboni because, in her heart she just knew that things would be different. She expected him to wake up and just lunge into her arms as they kiss each other good morning with so much passion. At least that what her dreams told her would happen. Silence created a wall between them, and Malakai stirred in the sheets before he lifted them up and revealed dabs of blood staining the bedspread.

Eb held the covers close to her body to keep herself hidden from Malakai's distant eyes. She could tell by the way his eyes darted across the room that his mind was racing too quickly to turn his thoughts into words. Malakai would open and close his mouth, but silence became their confidant. To be frank, Eboni didn't want him to say anything. She wanted to just pretend that this was all just some misunderstanding that would vanish with time. Eboni's chest rose then fell, and she felt nauseous.

The silence became too much for Malakai, and Eboni sighed when he kicked his feet over the side, pushes his weight off the mattress and rose from the bed. Waves of guilt and confusion slammed into Eboni's body with each step Malakai took. She laid tangled in the pile of white sheets while Kai dressed himself in his black boxers from last night.

She needed to leave. She needed to go home and explain to her mother that she went out with Chyna and stayed over. I mean her mother would still be upset that she snuck out, but at least it wouldn't be as bad as telling her the truth. Malakai was like a brother to her, and their mom did the best she could to help raise Kai because he didn't really have a family to go to. But here Eboni was, naked in his bed and with no logical explanation to justify her actions. Eboni was selfish all through out this experience. She didn't care for Malakai's feelings and everything had to be about her. She wanted a taste of him and she seized her moment.

"Eboni," Malakai mused to himself. He raked his fingers through his hair as he paced the floor. "I know this is a stupid question. But did we have sex last night?" He stopped pacing and looked into her eyes.

Eboni stirred in the bed before she found comfort in an upright position. "Kai, I'm sorry. I let things go too far." She said.

His eyes widened. Eboni meant to sneak out the home before Malakai woke up. But her body was tired and she'd spent most of the night turning over in her sleep. In total, Eboni may have only rested for two hours before her mind began to wonder. Guilt made it's presence known, and she no longer felt comfortable laying down with Malakai. This was her fault, and if she wanted to fix things, but she needed to make them right between the two of them. A sense of nervousness showed on his face, when Eboni's awkward stare met his.

"Sorry is all you can say? Eboni, look you're a pretty girl but," Malakai started off, and Eboni quirked up an eyebrow as she waited for his response. There were so many things racing  through her mind, and she just couldn't grasp the right words. "I don't have feelings for you. You're Malcolm's little sister, Eb! This is wrong!"

A sharp pain hit Eboni in her chest. She knew Kai was right, and from the moment she met him at the club she knew that being with him like this was dangerous. But she felt like Eve in the Garden of Eden during their rendezvous. Malakai had always been the forbidden fruit that she desperately desired, and she just knew that things wouldn't work out. But it was foolish to think otherwise because, nothing ever worked out the way she planned them.

"I should go then." Eboni suggested. She planted her feet on the floor and made her way to the bathroom to get cleaned up. Occasionally, she would look over to see Kai's dark eyes bore into her soul. He stayed next to his bed, and she found herself in the bathroom alone. She was an idiot; a fool like no other. With a wash cloth, Eboni scrubbed away her embarrassment. She should have known this "plan" would backfire because Malakai made no advances towards her before. Although, last night opened a new door for her. However, as quickly as that door had opened for Eb, she'd be forced to close and seal it shut indefinitely. Eboni stared in the mirror at the person looking back at her. Whoever this person was, was not the Eboni she knew when she laid her head down to sleep last night.
