Eboni sashayed down the halls, her black purse close in hand as everyone seemed to lock eyes on her. She mentally smirked at the thought of catching everyone's attention. Wearing a black tank top with a red flannel and khaki skinny jeans, Eboni walked down the hallway to find her best friend. Her long black hair bounced with each prideful step she took, and every turn she made caused her hair to slice through the air.

Surveying the crowded corridor, Eboni jostled her way through the sea of bodies, searching for her best friend, Chyna. Eboni hadn't replied to any of Chyna's messages last night or this morning because, she wasn't really in the mood to deal with negative vibes at the time. Eboni frowned when she finally found Chyna talking with some girl from their Statistics class.

She calculated the way Chyna giggled and blush whenever the girl talked to her, filling her head with possible lies. Not that Eboni had a problem with it or anything. She brushed away imaginary wrinkles from her outfit to kill time, until Chyna finished her conversation with the girl.

Chyna waved her hand at Eboni when she caught sight of her and smiled. Eboni walked over towards her.  Eboni noticed the other girl walked away when she approached, and it made her arch her eyebrow in confusion. Chyna wore a crimson red, long sleeved crop top with black skinny jeans, and white Jordan's. Her pink dyed hair rested peacefully on the top of her head in a messy bun, with a few loose strands poking out here and there.

Eboni lolled against the white wall of the corridor, and intently stared at her best friend who smiled like a five year old that had something really important to tell, but was waiting for someone to ask about it first. Eboni shook her head and groaned, "Spill the tea already." Eboni said.

Chyna squealed, fanning herself before dramatically falling against the wall beside Eboni.

"Gurl, I just heard that Malakai broke up with Briana's older sister a few nights ago." Chyna whispered, occasionally checking their surroundings to make sure no one around paid them any attention. Eboni's body tensed as the information set in, and just the thought of it happening made her sick with butterflies.

Eboni looked around cautiously, before whispering back, "Really?"

Chyna insisted with a head nod and eye roll.

"I'm serious..." Chyna pleaded, while nudging Eboni in the side. "...Brianna said she heard them arguing in her sister's room a few days ago. And Malakai just snapped and said he was done with her craziness." Chyna patted her chest and poked out her lip. "She also said, her sister refused to come downstairs for breakfast this morning. Poor girl but hey, at least you're practically in there now."

"I didn't even know he had a girlfriend. He never mentioned her whenever he comes over to hang with Malcolm." Eboni said.

Chyna tapped her chin. "I mean why would he tell you if he has a girlfriend, it's not like you two are together or anything." Chyna stated. She knew Chyna had a point but it wasn't like she was trying to say that he had to tell her directly about his relationships. Like Chyna said it wasn't supposed to be any of her business, but as much (and as loud) as Malakai and Malcolm talked, you'd think that would be something that would've come up sooner or later.

Why did it rub her the wrong way so much? She didn't own him, and he was old enough to do as he pleased.

"The tea just caught me by surprise that's all." Eb finally said with a shrug of her shoulders. The bell sounded to initiate the start of school. Readjusting her book bag , Eboni stood up tall, flipped her hair over her shoulder, and walked down the hallway with Chyna close by. Eboni was prideful, and she didn't want anyone to see her at her lowest; only at her best. To everyone else, Eboni Holmes was the girl that dressed the best, always looked like a queen, and had everything.
