As the ship enters the Outer Reach, the crew is assaulted by strange visions and distortions in reality. Time loops, the stars shift unnaturally, and the multiverse itself seems to ripple around them.
Suddenly, the ship is hit by a massive shockwave. Alarms blare as the hull is damaged, and the crew scrambles to stabilize the ship. Through the chaos, a shadowy figure appears on the edge of their sensors—an entity, not quite solid, that seems to drift in and out of reality.
Kei stares at the figure on the screen, her heart pounding.
Kei (whispering):
"Teri?"
But as the figure moves closer, its form shifts, growing darker, more twisted. This isn't the Teri she remembers—this is something else. Something born from the Abyss.
The entity lashes out, sending a wave of darkness across the ship. The crew fights to maintain control, but Kei's mind races. Could Teri have been corrupted by the Abyss? Or is this just another test, another lie?
Astris (yelling):
"We have to get out of here! This thing is tearing us apart!"
Kei hesitates, torn between her mission and the safety of her crew.
Kei (shouting):
"No! We need to stay on course. That's Teri... I know it!"
The ship lurches again as the dark entity strikes, but this time, something strange happens. The holographic map on the bridge flickers, and another message appears—just like before.
Message (on screen):
"Trust no one.
- T."
Kei's blood runs cold as the message fades, and she realizes the terrifying truth: someone—or something—is manipulating the signals, and her search for Teri has only just begun.
