They reach the heart of the sector, finding a lone, massive structure floating in the void—a space station, ancient and decayed, its hull marked with Abyssal symbols. The signal is coming directly from inside.
Drake (grimly):
"Looks like we found where the Abyss has been hiding."
Kei leads the way as they dock with the station. Inside, the atmosphere is thick with tension. The corridors are dark and cold, the walls covered in strange, shifting patterns that seem to move when no one is looking.
As they venture deeper, the station's systems flicker to life, and Kei can hear Teri's voice again, echoing through the halls.
Teri (faintly):
"Kei... don't come... closer..."
But Kei presses on, her resolve unwavering. She's come too far to turn back now.
They reach a central chamber, where a massive, pulsing energy field stands at the center of the room. And within it—Teri, suspended in the same shadowy energy that had consumed him before.
Kei (whispering):
"Teri..."
His eyes flicker open, glowing with Abyssal power, but there's something different this time. He's more in control, more aware.
Teri (weakly):
"I told you... not to come. The Abyss... it still has me."
