The Celestial Vanguard emerges on the other side of the rift, but the universe they find is fractured. Time flows erratically, and the stars are twisted, as if torn between realities. Ghostly echoes of different timelines overlap, causing confusion among the crew.
Kei is determined, though. She knows Teri is close.
Suddenly, a shadowy figure appears on the horizon—Teri, but he's not the same. He's surrounded by a shimmering, ethereal energy, his form unstable, flickering between reality and shadow.
Kei (shocked):
"Teri!"
He looks at her, his eyes filled with pain.
Teri (strained):
"Kei... I'm not whole. The Abyss... it fractured me. I'm trapped... between timelines."
Kei takes a step toward him, her heart aching.
Kei (softly):
"I'm going to bring you back. Just hold on."
But Teri shakes his head.
Teri (urgently):
"No. It's not safe. The timelines are converging, and if they merge..."
Before he can finish, the rift begins to pulse violently. The universe itself seems to scream in agony as the fractured timelines collide.
