Chapter 37

"Eomma, hyungie, meet Hoseok! He's my boyfriend!"

Seoyeon and the twins were stunned. Their body froze, eyes not even blinking once as they're still analysing what Jungkook just said.

Hoseok on the other hand was hella nervous. His palm was literally sweating and he felt sorry for the boy for enduring his sweaty palm. He tried to smile genuinely as he didn't want the adults to find out he's actually Jungkook's fake boyfriend.

The silence in the room was quick to broke by a loud squeal of Seoyeon. She jumped up and rushed towards Jungkook, using her hands to cup his cheeks, "Oh my baby, you've grown up so quickly!"

She averted her gaze from Jungkook then set on Hoseok, scanning him from head to toes. A smile planted on her face, "Good looking, nice smile over there. Good body shape, oh, your legs are long!" Her gaze lingered on little Hoseok, making the boy's face turned red as he squeezed his legs shut unconsciously.

"Overall, he's good." Seoyeon concluded, making Hoseok sighed in relief. She turned her head and face Jungkook, "My baby, you're so good at choosing your boyfriend!" She claimed.

Jungkook just gave her a sweet smile, "Eomma taught me well!"

"This kid." Seoyeon let out a defeat chuckle and ruffled Jungkook's hair. She turned around and faced the twins, "What do you think about him, Tae and V?"

Jungkook looked at the twins, just to find Taehyung having an extremely darkened face and V having an expressionless face. The boy can see the madness through V's eyes, even though the man held no expression on his face.

"Yes, what do you think about my boyfriend, hyungie?" Jungkook asked, wrapping his hands around Hoseok's bicep.

Taehyung clenched his jaw as he glared at their intertwined hands. "Good, so good." He muttered. He should felt jealousy now but he doesn't know why he felt more is depression.

V didn't say anything as he just looked away.

Jungkook wasn't quite happy with their reaction. He seems to make the twins too mad. He pouted unknowingly, leaning his body closer to Hoseok.

Seoyeon just shrugged, "Let's have our dinner shall we?" She asked.

Jungkook didn't expect it would be so awkward.

Yes, he brought Hoseok home to make the twins felt jealous. But right now, the twins are literally shooting daggers at the boy. Jungkook started to felt pity towards Hoseok.

And he surely didn't expect Seoyeon to like Hoseok and even invite him for dinner.

So right now they sat around the dining table, with different kinds of food in front of them but no one exchange any words.

Hoseok was so so nervous. In order to act more like a boyfriend, he helped Jungkook to cut his steak into pieces. The action of him just brought more glares from the twins.

"Thank you!" Jungkook thanked cutely, "Feed me, Hobi!"

Before Hoseok can do anything, V stopped him.

"Petal, you always eat by yourself don't you?" V asked, voice was so gentle until it kind of giving an eerie vibe, "We don't want to trouble your little boyfriend there do we?"

"But I'm sure Hoseok want to feed me right?" Jungkook asked and stared at Hoseok, eyes turning sparkly. He spared a small glance at the twins, smiling victoriously when he noticed they tightened their grip on the fork and knife.

"Erm..." Hoseok felt so many stares on him, but Jungkook's was the strongest. So he got no choice but to feed the boy. He stabbed a piece of cut steak with the fork and sent it directly into Jungkook's mouth.

Jungkook smiled in happiness, earning a small coo from Seoyeon.

"You guys looked so cute-" Her sentence got cut off by a loud slamming sound on the table. All of them flinched, except for the twins.

It was Taehyung who slammed his hand on the table, got a mad look on his face as he stood up, "I'm full." He said and walked away.

"Me too." V muttered, standing up too.

Jungkook got slightly panicked at their reaction. He didn't expect them to leave! But he couldn't stop them either. All he can do is watch them walked away.

"What's wrong with them?" Jungkook heard Seoyeon asked.

Jungkook shrugged, but his heart was already got filled up by sadness. If he got bunny ears, they will definitely be slumping down now. His back got straightened up when he felt a hand on his back.

He lifted his head up to check who is it, turns out it was Hoseok.

"We can try another plan. Don't be sad." Hoseok whispered to Jungkook's ear. He got a soothing smile on his face, making Jungkook felt slightly better.

"Yes! I can't give up now!" Jungkook said softly to himself, hands curling up, turning into fists.
Just when he was about to eat further, he heard footsteps getting closer and closer to him. So he stopped, lifting his head up and turned to the source of sound.

Again, it was the twins. They both wore a stoic face. They walked past Jungkook, making the boy sink into confusion.

"Where are you guys going?" He can't help but asked.

"Killing." Taehyung said coldly and Jungkook recognised the tone that he used was exactly the same tone that he used to scold a maid that accidentally poured hot cocoa on Jungkook's body.

The tone that he used for people that he doesn't like.

Jungkook's whole body froze. He watched them leaving the house, feeling nothing but sadness right now.

His eyes went teary and red but he tried his best to hold his tears. "I'm sorry, eomma. I'm full too." He tried to manage his sound normal before he held Hoseok's hand, "Let's go, Hobi."

"To where?" Hoseok asked as he stood up along with Jungkook.

"To my room." Jungkook muttered, head hung low as a tear slowly slipped out of his eye, "Sleep with me tonight."
