Taehyung brought the car to a stop. The familiar streets welcomed Jungkook like a well-loved storybook, a setting she recognized all too well. A wave of nostalgia washed over her as she gazed out the window.
They had arrived near her house, close to the dargah—where she often sought solace, where her heart had found comfort amidst the chaos.
The scent of blooming flowers and the quiet smoke of incense floated through the air, twisting with the soft sounds of prayer that echoed in the distance. Jungkook felt her heart flutter with excitement and trepidation; the significance of this place. It was a sanctuary filled with memories of hope.
Before Jungkook could gather her thoughts, Taehyung turned off the ignition and stepped out of the car. He walked around to her side and opened the door, extending his hand.
"Shall we?" he asked, his voice smooth and inviting.
Jungkook took his hand, their fingers interlocking naturally. They stepped out of the car into the evening air. They began moving and then, Jungkook realized:
They were going to the dargah.
Immediately, the lively atmosphere enveloped them. Stalls lined the streets, selling colourful pendants, fragrant flowers, and sweet treats. The chatter of vendors and the children's laughter filled the air. Jungkook's heart swelled with the memories of times spent here, her mind flashing vivid pictures of past visits with her family and friends.
"Mr Kim, are we really going here?" Jungkook asked her voice filled with disbelief.
Taehyung nodded, "I thought it would be a nice place for us to visit together. A chance to reflect and find some peace."
His sincerity shone through and Jungkook felt a rush of affection.
"Thank you," the wife said, her heart swelling as they continued walking side by side.
The simple act of being with him felt like a treasure.
As they approached the entrance, Jungkook's heart raced. The ornate door stood before them, carved with floral patterns. Stepping inside, she was greeted by lights dancing across the walls, illuminating the sacred space with a soft radiance.
