Chapter 36 : A little glimpse

“You know we think we are incapable of getting love but it's not true. It’s just the weight of circumstances that makes us believe we’re unworthy of love. But patience makes it worth it.” 

Taehyung paused, his gaze softening as he reached for Jungkook's hand, threading their fingers together. He pressed a gentle, lingering kiss to Jungkook’s cheek. The mafia closed his eyes to savor his beloved’s delicate touch.

“Jungkook, you have always loved me without letting any uff slip through your mouth. I never matched that same intensity, that same unwavering devotion.” 

“I promise to love you without an ounce of hesitation, just as you love me.”

“I vow that while I might never be able to love with such abandon, I would do everything in my power to ensure you feel adored and loved, just as you treat me like a precious treasure.”

Jungkook gazed at his beautiful boy, his breath caught in his throat as he absorbed every word wrapped in love. 

It was a refuge, a sanctuary where the pain of the past could not reach them, and in that moment, Taehyung silently vowed to shield Jungkook from the shadows that threatened to engulf him.

“Your love is intricately woven with eternal threads into the very fabric of my heart and soul. You represent the promise of life for me, Jungkook.” 

Taehyung rose from his seat and drifted towards the railing, his movements graceful and unhurried. He spread his arms wide, letting the cool breeze caress his skin, and tilted his head back to gaze up at the vast, open sky. 

A soft, contented sigh escaped his lips as he took a deep, soothing breath, his chest rising and falling in a slow, peaceful rhythm.

Jungkook's eyes were drawn to him, captivated by the serene calm that softened Taehyung's features. Bathed in silver light, he looked ethereal, as if he belonged to the very sky he gazed at. A serene portrait of tranquility.

"Without you, Jungkook, I am but a fragment, an incomplete soul. But with you, the garden of my heart blossoms, and every season unfurls with an ecstatic enchantment. It's only in your presence that I truly feel I belong in this world, with you."

“In your presence, I find my true essence, and the world feels whole."

Jungkook was captivated by the love-laden words flowing from the one he loves above all.

Rising from his seat, he quietly approached Taehyung and wrapped his arms around him in a warm embrace from behind. He leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Taehyung's temple.

“In the turmoil of my bloody life, you are the only beautiful truth that has ever graced my existence, my beautiful Tae.”

Taehyung let out a soft chuckle at the endearing nickname, a warm smile spreading across his face. Together, they tilted their heads upward, their eyes drawn to the luminous moon which hung like a silver jewel against the inky sky.

In that enthralled moment, the world around them faded, leaving only the two of them wrapped in the celestial glow. And their hearts entwined beneath the shimmering stars.

“Reveal to me all that lies hidden within the depths of your silent heart, my love,” Jungkook said.

Taehyung turned into Jungkook's embrace and their eyes locked in a mutual gaze. The depth of Jungkook's eyes ensnared him in a trance, just as it always had.

A subtle, enigmatic smile played upon Jungkook's lips, captivating Taehyung more. Taehyung looked at Jungkook with depths of his gaze as he poured all his feelings.
