The atmosphere in the meeting room was heavy, Jungkook sat at the head of the table, exuding authority as always. His eyes were sharp as he listened to the final negotiations.

Across from him, the opposing party spoke, "We’ll proceed under the agreed terms, but the shipment details need adjustment—"

Jungkook’s dark gaze flickered, cutting through the conversation like a blade. "No changes. We set the terms. You follow them." His voice was calm.

“ But that’s workable, as long as it doesn’t affect the overall timeline.” The man insisted.

“We can't proceed with that,” Bambam informed quickly.

A beat of silence. The other side sighed, nodding stiffly. "Understood."

Jungkook leaned back, satisfied, as the final signatures were placed on the documents. The deal was done. Without another word, he pushed his chair back and stood, adjusting his suit jacket. "We’re done here."

As he strode out, Bambam fell in step beside him, handing over a file. "Everything’s locked in. I'll have the follow-up reports prepared by tomorrow,”

Jungkook merely nodded, flipping through the pages of the file briefly before handing it back. "Make sure there are no loose ends.”

They entered his office, where the city stretched before him through the vast glass windows. Jungkook turned away, his gaze drawn to the vast skyline before him. The city sprawled endlessly, buildings towering like silent sentinels beneath the night sky. Neon lights flickered, and cars weaved through the streets like veins pulsing with life.

While Bambam settled in to review the paperwork, Jungkook’s gaze lingered on the view for a moment before he pulled out his phone, dialing a familiar number. A soft smile curved his lips as he waited for the other to pick up.

Nestled beneath soft ivory duvets, his face barely peeking out, framed by tousled locks. The phone buzzed softly on the nightstand.

With drowsy eyes, he reached for it, his fingers brushing the cool surface before bringing it to his ear. His morning voice melted into a velvety sweetness as he answered, "Hmm?

Jungkook chuckled at the sleepy endearing tone. "Slept well, baby?"

Taehyung mumbled, "Not without you." His fingers lazily rubbed at his eyes as he shifted beneath the warmth of the covers, seeking comfort in the absence of Jungkook.

Jungkook's lips curled into a soft smile. "Then let me make up for it, love."

“How?”

Jungkook chuckled again, pulling another topic. “Is your preparation done for tomorrow?"

"Mm, almost.” Still half-asleep, Taehyung blindly reached for the remote beside his bed, pressing a button with a lazy flick of his finger. The curtains parted in a slow, graceful sweep, allowing soft sunlight to spill in. He sat up, leaning back against the headboard.

“You'll manage everything?" Jungkook asked, concern evident despite his trust in Taehyung. Taehyung took a deep breath, his voice soft. "Hmm."

Jungkook smiled gently. "I know. You're incredible—you can handle anything."

Taehyung sighed. "You did half the work by sending Namjoon-hyung."

A brief silence settled between them before Jungkook murmured, "It's been two weeks… I've been away from you."

Taehyung hummed in response, his gaze stilling and he held a breath. Longing seeped into Jungkook. There's a brief silence.

A quiet whisper pulled Jungkook back from his trance, "I miss you."
