Taehyung’s heart quivered, gripped by a storm of emotions of love, aching, longing, and profound remorse in Jungkook’s tone and words. He stood in stunned disbelief, utterly astonished to witness Jungkook in such a humbled state.

The rain drenched them, yet it did little to temper the tension between them. Taehyung stood rooted in place, his gaze fixed on Jungkook, who knelt on both knees before him, head bowed in silent remorse.

Something unfamiliar stirred in Taehyung’s chest, a deep, unshakable ache. He had never imagined Jungkook—so proud, so unyielding—would ever be kneeling before him like this, vulnerable and broken.

"What I did last night was unforgivable, a grievous mistake, I know that. The very thought of it should have repulsed me, but instead, I allowed it to happen.” Jungkook's voice trembled with remorse, raw and utterly sincere.

“I can’t rewrite the past, but I will do everything in my power to make amends and shape a better future. Please, find it in your heart to forgive me.”

Taehyung’s hand fell away, retreating slowly. Jungkook collapsed onto his knees, the cold, wet pavement beneath him.

The car’s headlights illuminated the scene, casting a warm glow, while a nearby lamppost flickered to life, its light glistening on the rain-soaked surroundings.

Taehyung stood in front of him, unmoving, while Jungkook’s voice cracked with desperation, repeating, “Please, I’ll go insane without you. Your indifference shreds me to pieces, even if it’s only for a few minutes.”

“ I'm begging you. Forgive me!”

“Here I'm on my knees, I'm begging you, my love.” Jungkook looked up.

In that heart-wrenching moment, Taehyung saw a tear roll down Jungkook's face, and his heart sank. There are tears in Jungkook's eyes. Taehyung's heart stopped. And soon, it was gripped by an aching despair.

Each ragged breath he took felt heavier as if the weight of Jungkook's sorrow bore down on him.

Taehyung loves Jungkook—loves him more than life itself. Seeing the man he loves more than anyone or anything else in the world reduced to such vulnerability, broken and pleading before him, was unbearable. It tore at his soul.

For Taehyung, the depth of his love for Jungkook is unfathomable—merciful, limitless, overflowing with kindness and generosity. He would brave the wrath of the gods if it meant alleviating Jungkook’s torment.

The ultimate truth is that he loves the man—he loves him deeply, fiercely, and without reservation. Jungkook is the one person in this world who'll willingly kill or die for him. It’s either this man in his life or no one at all.

"I'm devoid of compassion; I'm unrelenting, heartless, and a cruel soul,” Jungkook paused, “ I acknowledge that, and yet, I can't fathom the thought of you turning your back on me. If you walk away, I’ll walk around mad at the world.” Jungkook continued.

"Believe me, sweetheart, my love for you is infinite—an unfathomable abyss. Don’t let a handful of my reckless actions sow seeds of doubt in your heart.”

Taehyung held Jungkook's hand, his voice a soothing whisper. “Let’s go. We'll talk later.”

Yet, Jungkook remained rooted in place, gripping Taehyung’s hand tightly, his crimson eyes locked onto Taehyung’s with an intensity and emotions that spoke volumes. He continued to say.

“No, I must elucidate everything at this moment. I cannot offer time like my mother,” Jungkook asserted. Taehyung was taken aback by the unexpected mention of Jungkook’s mother.
