"I hate this plan."

Y/N was leaning against the wall, trying not to draw attention to himself. "Shut up, Y/N." Emma whispered back.

"I'm just saying. What if Tempest doesn't show up? Then what will we do? And what happens if the others get caught in the middle?"

"Then we'll have to think of something."

Y/N sighed. This wasn't his job. "You're right." Sarah Nisder dropped down beside him, with Josh close behind. "It's the job of a hero. And you're stuck with the title now."

"Shut up, Sarah."

"Make me."

"Don't tempt me."

Joshua interrupted their banter. "Tempest is on her way."

Y/N looked at him. "What makes you so sure?"

Joshua pointed at the roof of a building, where Tempest stood. She was smiling. Y/N growled. He put his mask on.

"Y/N, what're you doing?" Emma whispered urgently.

"Giving her a taste of her own medicine." And Deathcaller was gone.

"What did he mean by that?" Josh asked.

"It means that we're going to have a really hard time saving his ass." Emma grinned.

Unfortunately, Tempest was an illusion. And that meant Deathcaller had taken the bait.

"Well, well, well. Look who it is."

Deathcaller whirled around, and was met with the grinning face of Tempest. "You."

"Me." Tempest's voice was a little deeper, and her eyes were glowing a light blue.

"What're you doing here, Tempest?"

"Just enjoying the sights. Namely you."

"I'd be flattered, but I don't really care."

Tempest giggled. "Always so serious, Deathcaller." She suddenly appeared in a flash, seductively trailing a finger down his chest. "And all that seriousness is all for me."

"In your dreams, Tempest. It's in your dreams."

Tempest chuckled, and suddenly there were more Tempests, encircling him. "Then dream a little, darling." Deathcaller growled. One Tempest was a handful, but surrounded by them? "Oh, what's the matter? Not so confident anymore?"

The Tempests began circling him, until they were a blur. Then, when he couldn't take it anymore, they disappeared. "Looking for me, Deathcaller?"

He didn't have time to respond, because a punch in the stomach made him double over. He barely had time to raise his guard before another attack came. And another.

"Don't take this personally, Deathcaller. It's only so I can subdue you, and then no more pain! You'll be with me, forever and ever. Doesn't that sound perfectly lovely? Just absolutely romantic?"

"No, it doesn't, Tempest. It sounds like a prison sentence."

"That's because you've never been in love. If you were, you'd understand."

Deathcaller laughed. "Trust me, Tempest, I know what love feels like. And this isn't it."

"Really? Then tell me, oh fearless Deathcaller, who do you love?"

Deathcaller suddenly shot a blast of fire at Tempest. "Enough of this. We both know you only have crystal powers. Who else is with you?"

Tempest giggled, and tripped Deathcaller with another crystal. "Answer my question first."
