             As soon as I heard the request, I couldn't help but let out a surprised - even shocked - gasp, before my whole body tensed up. The Death Serpent? Wasn't that the same thing that the blessings were talking about..? Why does Gidou want me to hunt down and 'kill' this Death Serpent? Better yet...

How does Gidou even know of it? Is it a famous creature? Many, many questions rushed through my mind, as I clenched my hands into fists, while Gidou sat there with a unusually wide grin.

"Pardon me — I'm not sure I quite understand the request you made..."

I stated calmly and as non-suspiciously as I could. Gidou let out a small chuckle, before placing his arms down onto his chairs armrests and exhaling lightly.

<Gidou>;
"No need to be apologetic. I can elaborate on what I want you to do."

He stated, seemingly trying to calm me down a bit. I wonder if he had managed to see through my small fake calm act and see how I was slightly panicking on the inside... If so, then I had to be extra careful to not do anything rash.

After a bit of silence, Gidou reached into his coat before pulling out a small container filled with this strange violet liquid. I raised an eyebrow.

<Gidou>;
"Inside this container is a very, very potent poison. One capable of even killing those that are naturally born with poison immunity or resistance. I want you to find the Death Serpent and ensure that no matter what, he ingests that — that's all I am requesting."

Gidou stated, explaining the violet liquid inside the container. I looked at him with a bit of a sceptical gaze — one could even say I was getting more and more suspicious of him. Gidou seemed... Different at this moment compared to how I remembered him. He was speaking in such a different manner, his tone was different... Even his expressions were different to what I remember.

Something about this was off... Really off. I couldn't help but have this feeling of dread and even slight fear of something not being right and that in this room, something bad was present. Why would Gidou ever request something like this of me, especially after learning of my return to Ordial?

The whole thing was sketchy as can be. However, I didn't say anything nor let my inner thoughts show, as I simply exhaled and leaned back into the couch.

"Alright... And how on earth do you expect me to get close enough to this 'Death Serpent' to even make him ingest the poison?"

I asked, looking at him a bit sceptically. Gidou let out a loud chuckle - which devolved into a bit of a manical laughter, before getting up from his seat and walking around his desk, before over to me.

<Gidou>;
"Oh do not worry — I am sure you will be able to get juuust close enough to do so."

He stated, before moving behind me and then leaning down to my right ear, placing his hands onto my shoulders — which sent shivers down my spine.

<Gidou>;
"Right?"

Before I could answer anything, I felt this strange feeling inside myself. I had this... Urge. I wanted to jump up and back myself up from Gidou as much as possible, especially after he got so close, however, for some reason....

I couldn't move my body.
My entire body felt like I had lost control over it and it felt like I was floating around. Like everything around me had disappeared and I had become weightless with no interaction with gravity.

Naolas eyes glowed reddish purple as she sat there with a blank expression, still conscious, just inside her mind. Gidou leaned a bit closer to her ear, breathing lightly into it as his own eyes shined with a reddish colour, with this mist leaking from him and slowly surrounding Naola with itself.
