Approaching closer and closer to the graveyard itself, I felt shivers run down my spine as the grassy green grass sharply turned into dead grass, covered by mostly sand and dust and the path that they were on, blending into the ground of the Deadmans Graveyard. The leaveless trees of the graveyard stood much taller than all of us — in fact, they stood much taller than I remember. I suppose in the years that I haven't been here, even a place as lifeless and dead as the Deadmans Graveyard had changed quite a bit.
I was frozen in place, staring up towards the canopy of trees that dwelled before us, while everyone else slowly began to enter the graveyard one by one, with Dreoda leading the whole pack into the unknown territory with no regard whether something could be lurking inside or not.
I shed a sweat, gulping lightly before quickly catching up to everyone else, while ensuring to stay at the back in order to keep the 'formation' that all of us had been moving in this entire time.
Dedela and Leola looked around at the trees with nervous and scared expressions, while Hipsha simply shed a sweat while also throwing his gaze around at the territory surrounding us now.
<Hipsha>;
"Forgot just how creepy this place was..."He commented lightly, a light sweat falling off of his face. Dedela and Leola looked at him with nervous expressions, before looking back towards me, stopping to wait for me to catch up.
<Dedela>;
"Will we really be okay...?"Dedela asked, while Leola just gave me an even more nervous and anxious gaze. I looked at them both with a speechless expression, before looking around us while moving forward.
While I could not deny just how creepy and unsettling the Deadmans Graveyard really was, at the same time, I wasn't actually as nervous as I expected myself to be. Whether it be for the fact that the only monsters here were Undead, who could not survive in the sunlight or the fact that I was much, much stronger than back then - something just gave me the confidence to just keep moving without much worry.
I looked at Dedela and Leola after a small bit, putting on a smile across my face before rubbing their heads.
"We'll be fine. If anything attacks us, me and Dreoda will handle it. Just stick with either one of us, okay?"
I replied, with Dedela and Leola exchanging their nervous gazes with one another for a second, before nodding lightly and looking back at me.
<Dedela & Leola>;
"O-Okay..."They both said at the same time, before turning back to face the front and quickly slithering forward to catch up to Dala, Hipsha and Dreoda, who all were kind of outpacing us pretty severely.
All 6 of us were moving through Graveyard at a steady pace, with Dreoda staying at the front and leading the group, while I was at the back acting as the 'rear guard' - if that. I had to be honest with myself, I wasn't even exactly sure what I was searching for — all I knew is that there was something I had to find and retrieve inside of the Graveyard.
Now that did beg an obvious question — If I had no idea what I was searching for in the first place, how on earth was I supposed to know when I have found the thing I was searching for?
Will that strange individual from my dream speak to me again in my dreams? Will I get some kind of spiritual message confirming the thing being found? Will it have to be just a gut feeling and an educated guess as to when I have found it? Who could say. All I could do for now is just wander the graveyard with my siblings, until I have found something that seems out of place here and then just take a guess on whether or not that is what I am required to retrieve.
