Things changed more after the murders in Hollywood. Sidney and Mark began dating and moved in together, that meant Sidney left her home in Monterey and moved to Hollywood with RJ. Sidney continued to recover from the trauma she suffered, Cherokee the dog passed away. But sadly she and Mark broke up at some point, leaving Sidney to raise RJ alone, once again. Sidney did a lot over the next 11 years, she began writing a book about her personal experiences and journey through trauma called Out of the Darkness.

RJ had grown a lot over the years, he's been excelling in school, learning self defense techniques, martial arts, and all types of fighting skills. Thanks to his smarts, Tommy was able to skip two grades, he's now a junior at 14 years old. He loves Sidney as his mom, but he was sad that he'll never get to know his parents because they died when he was three months old. All he remembered were images of his father and mother. Sidney told him all she could remember about Randy and Karen, how Randy was a horror movie fan, and his mother was loving and protective despite the gothic style.

RJ would keep pictures of his parents, that way he wouldn't forget their faces and who they were. He never watched horror movies because things like horror took his parents away from him. He was currently with his mother on the book tour, he was reluctant to come because of school but he did his assignments ahead of time so that he could go. He had been to lot of places he'd never been before but this place is what scared him the most. It was Woodsboro, the town he was born in but never grew up there.

The once peaceful town that was now plagued with the Ghostface legacy. RJ knew that for a fact because he was currently standing in front of a bookstore and was looking at the lampposts. There were Ghostface costumes on top of the lampposts and RJ couldn't help but feel disgusted. It was most likely immature teenagers that did this. Do they not acknowledge the damage Ghostface caused to the lives of innocent people ?

They're seriously willing to look past it just because they're fans of the movies? Tommy didn't notice his mother walking over to him and gently held his hand.

"Sweetie, are you okay?" Sidney asked. RJ didn't take his eyes off the lamppost.

"Yes ma'am." RJ said as he turned to walk to the bookstore.

A little while later, RJ was standing to the side holding a video camera filming his mother's speech to her audience. By the time it ended, he watched with smile as everyone clapped for his mother when she finished her speech. He turned off his camera and walked over to his mother.

"Excellent work. I managed to video footage in case they do a documentary of you one day." RJ said.

Sidney smiled at him and looked behind him seeing someone. RJ turned around and saw Gale Weathers.

"Gale. I'm glad you came." Sidney said.

"Congratulations, Sidney. I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but..." Gale said as she looked at the desk.

"I know where you can get one." Sidney said.

They both laughed and hugged each other while RJ smiled at the two. They pulled out of the hug and Gale turned to RJ and hugged him and he hugged her back.

"It's nice seeing you again. Not so little anymore. I mean, physically you're little but mentally you're growing up." Gale said.

"Yep. Became a junior at 14. By the time I graduate, I'll be 16." RJ said. He looked behind Gale and smiled at the sight of his godfather.

"Uncle Dewey! Hey!" RJ said rushing to Dewey and giving him a tight hug.

"Hey, RJ. Hey, Sidney. Gale, you made it." Dewey said turning to his wife.
