You sit quietly, bobbing your leg as everybody around you speaks with each other.

This is it.

You're getting along with them..

This is what you've wanted.

Dede grabs a stick, reaching around and poking Stone's back with it. They turn around, seeing nothing. "Huh? Yo, something just poked me, guys."

Dede's high pitched giggles escape her mouth as she fails to keep it in. Stone frantically looks around, beginning to panic. "GUUUYS! S-SOMETHING POKED ME!"

Are they really that oblivious, Dede's basically pissing herself trying not to laugh..

Your stomach begins to grumble. 

You're hungry..

As you quietly whimper, Guppy notices. "Yew hungry, ain'tcha?"

"H-Huh? O-Oh, uh.. yeah, guess a little." You say, placing your hand on your stomach. You drag your shoe in the dirt as you look down, drawing little letters. Guppy stands up, stepping on the letters you drew. "I know ya ain't like killin' animals, but we alls gotta eat. Yew ain't gon hunt, so I'll have ta." He swings his shotgun up onto his shoulder, beginning to walk away.

Huh?

"W-Wait, why? Can't we just wait until morning and keep walking to find a store or something..?"

He stops, looking back at you.

"..Listen. I'm hungry. Yer hungry. They's all hungry. I'm steppin' up and doin' what's best."

"But we can just, wait.. right?" You look around. 

Nobody's seeming to object.

"Yer a strong devil. You can go longer without food, unlike these folk." He waves the shotgun in your general direction, causing Dede to quietly squeak. Your lip begins to curl. "H-Hey, wouldn't that be the opposite? If I'm so strong and stuff, I'd need more food sooner, to like.. maintain that.."

"Then don't drive our food away like ya did earlier with that big ol' bear." He starts to walk away, holding his shotgun with both hands. Opame stands, beginning to follow behind.

Your eye twitches.

Hey.

What the hell?

You were protecting that bear from him.. you can always just get ACTUAL food.

You don't wanna eat a damn bear or any kind of live animals out here.. that's cruel, isn't it? There aren't many animals left in the world, anyways.. from what you've heard, at least.

It's only good to eat animals from farms so it doesn't disrupt nature. 

Everyone else seems fine.. right..?

You look around at the others.

Dede's fine.. Stone never really eats unless it's cement. Best not to remind them of it..

You look to your side.

Huh.. oh, yeah, Opame went with him.. maybe that means she's hungry.

Chester crawls onto your lap. "Y/N.. I'm huuungry.." He paws at your knee, placing his paws down and stretching.

Wait, damn it.

Why did you think it would be a good idea to take the cat? You can't feed it.

They might take a while.. ughhh.. if they're gonna kill an animal, what if they don't do it quickly?

You don't want it to suffer.

You pick up Chester, putting him on Dede's lap. "I'm gonna go make sure whatever they kill is killed quickly, okay?" You say worryingly, beginning to walk away before Dede can answer.
