"If he stabs you in the neck, say a prayer. If he stabs you in the heart, pull the knife out."... maybe you could die a minute later.
Woah! Ellechanel, you got me good on this one! I WILL find you, and when I do, I'll get down on one knee, look you in the eye, and tell you that God took his time on that beautiful brain of yours. He expelled an abundance of His beauty and creativity into you, and I am grateful knowing that you exist in this world. When my adulation is over, I will beg, pleaseeeeee return to us don't leave us hanging girl.
Yes, my review is on an incomplete book. After 6 years away from Wattpad, my return was to met with this blissful torment- 1001 Nights. I promise upon every captured soul in Rukun's eyes, you won't regret reading this book.
1001 Nights will have you holding your breath every second, as you are wickedly forced to feel every emotion the heroine goes through. The fear and desperation in each chapter palpable as your very being, 1001 takes you within story after story. Is this story just a story or a foreshadowing? Is it their past? Who is truly on your side? Unexpected allies are formed as you fight to live another day to read the next chapter... wait, I mean the heroine. See, I told you the pull is strong, who am I at this point? lol.
If fantasy novels are your cup of tea, with a boatload of dark, sadistic, violent and thrilling scenes, then leave now! Hurry along, and meet our dangerously handsome King.
You might be wondering why I would recommend an unfinished novel, there are two options: I'm either that wicked person who'd love you to join my miserable party, someon who would recommend Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo as a lovely light watch (hello to you if you caught my reference). Orrr, I'm poetic, and believe every one deserves to have a brush with beauty no matter how brief. Delve into poetic descriptions and enchant your time in the folds of thrilling nights.
I have come to love this young writer, and I just wonder what could be holding her back. Someone has assured us in the comments that she is fine, so is it writers' block? Having written something so beautiful that has gained the heart of many, she just wonders where to go from there. Elle has matched each crescendo in each chapter with one higher than the last, as the mystery thickens, we are like sailors and each word the siren call that we tumble after.
If I was the author, I will be filled with much apprehension, wondering how next to let the story flow. Pen meets paper, and paper meets it's crumpled destiny. However, I trust Elle. I know when she's ready, she won't disappoint, and I am okay in my waiting. I would read every line like it's the first time. I may not have understood the Game of Thrones Fever, but now I do. I will wait, and I will pray that God fuels her with courage and mercy on us readers, while I twirl this line around my head "The night had begun".
Poem Dedicated to Rukun's Eyes:
This man is darkness
And hell suddenly feels secure in his presence
Yet, for everything evil and terrifying he represents,
the beauty of his golden and obscure eyes
mocks a thousand sunsets. It makes sense...
They say the souls of our beloved become stars,
Here they lie,
Trophies displayed in this murderer's eyes
Hundreds.
I am enthralled. I am terrified
