Kenzie was sitting on her couch with Kyler asleep beside her. She was on her macbook checking on her website, making sure everything was in place.
Somebody knocked on her door making Kyler jump up and bark. Kenzie got up and walked over to the door. She looked through the peephole to see her sisters.
Kenzie rolled her eyes and opened the door. "Yall needa stop coming here unannounced."
They walked in, closing the door after them. "We ain come here unannounced. I texted you."
Kenzie sat back on the couch and picked up her phone. She checked her notifications. Kaor texted her saying they were on their way upstairs.
Kenzie shook her head. "Girl. Why yall here."
"Ummm. Do you not like us or something." Kori said as she played with Kyler.
"No." Kenzie smiled.
"Anyways, we just wanted to come over here and see you."
"Mhmmm." Kenzie said slowly, she was skeptical.
"So, what chu doin tonight?" Kaor cheesed.
"Nothing..."
"Then you should come to this pool party with meeee."
"Girl. No."
"Whyyy?"
"Because all we gon do is stand around the pool. It's not even a pool party."
"Sooo. We can still shake our asss."
"Kaor. Now you know ion be doin that."
"Mmm.. the videos in my phone say otherwise." she made a '😬' face.
"Girl- who's party is it? where's it's at? and who all gon be there?"
"It's enzo's cousins, it's at this really nice hotel with an outside pool. And people you know."
"Can i bring my son?" she asked.
"Sure."
"Okay. What time?"
"9:30. Well it actually start at 8:30 but yk black people."
"Ok. But we leaving leaving at 10:30 cs our bedtime is 11." she said referring to Kyler.
"Girl- ok."
"What color bathing suit you wearing?"
"Idk yet."
"Oh. Well i gotta go see if Kyler's swim trunks and swim shoes clean." she got and went to her room with kyler following close behind.
Later
Kenzie and Kyler were now in the mall looking for a bikini so she and kyler could match. She loved treating Kyler like he was her actual son. She wanted actual kids but she was waiting for the right time.
She used to wanted to wait for after marriage but, now she was honestly waiting for the right person. Yeah she and Amiri (her lil yea) were together and doing good, she didn't really see herself with him in 10 years from now.
She had finally found a swimsuit that was close enough to Kyler's swim trunks. They were walking out of the store when Kenzie saw someone that made her heart drop. There was Rylo walking with somebody she couldn't see clearly.
She blinked and looked again but he wasn't there. She shook it off because this wasn't the first time she thought she saw him. But this time, it seemed so real.
