A blaring alarm shattered the silence of Quinn's cell, its high-pitched wail reverberating through the walls. Quinn jolted upright, his senses on high alert, as the heavy steel door of his room clicked, then creaked open. For a moment, he simply stared, frozen. The hallway outside was filled with a chaotic symphony of alarms, flashing lights, and distant shouts. Then he saw them—the other experiments.
Huggy Wuggy, with his towering, blue-furred frame and unnervingly wide grin, lumbered out of a cell nearby. Mommy Long Legs slinked out of another, her elongated limbs stretching and curling as she moved with spider-like elegance. Boxy Boo, a strange, boxed creature with springs for limbs, emerged with a metallic clank, his head twisting back and forth. And then, there was CatNap, a slender, sinister creature with eyes that glowed in the dark, creeping quietly along the floor.
Quinn's heart pounded as they gathered in the hall, each one a living nightmare brought to life. But even they seemed to pale in comparison to the creature standing at the end of the corridor: The Prototype. A skeletal, mechanical figure, part machine and part twisted flesh and bones.
The Prototype raised a clawed hand, its voice grating and hollow. "Our hour of joy has finally come," it said, its tone cold and commanding. "Tear them apart just as they did to you."
The other experiments exchanged a glance, a collective spark of fury igniting within them. Without a second thought, they began to move as one, charging down the hall, toward the terrified scientists and staff who had once held them captive.
Quinn felt a strange urge rise within him, a primal hunger that he couldn't ignore. As he watched the others disappear into the chaos, he followed, each step fueled by a blend of fear, anger, and exhilaration.
He emerged from the corridors and up a stairwell, the noise growing louder. His limbs moved with a purpose he hadn't known he possessed. Scientists ran, their faces twisted in horror as they tried to flee the creatures they'd caged and prodded. Huggy Wuggy's massive form took down anything in its path; Mommy Long Legs slithered across walls and dropped down from the ceiling with a terrifying grace. Screams filled the air as Boxy Boo sprang forward, his jaws snapping, and CatNap leapt from shadow to shadow, claws flashing.
Quinn stumbled to a halt as they reached the top floor, the wide-open space of the main laboratory spreading out before him. There were no cages here, no cells—just open doors and a straight path to freedom.
A scientist caught Quinn's gaze, her face pale as she froze under his monstrous, yarn-covered stare. His chest rose and fell as he fought the strange, fierce desire pulsing within him—the need to lunge, to break free completely, to make them pay. His face began to split open, the monstrous maw inside inching wider.
But even as the chaos spiraled around him, a part of him hesitated. He wasn't like them, was he? Or was he just as much a monster as the others?
His monstrous mouth split open, and the frenzy began.
He sliced, tore, and gnawed on their flesh, leaving the strong taste of cold blood lingering in his mouth.
They tried to hide, to run, anything to stay alive. The Experiments slaughtered them all.
