Ch. 3 Prom Night

It was finally the day of the prom and I was filled with excitement. Tonight was going to be fabulous. Prom was at 6:00pm, so my friend, Skyler came over at 3:00pm to get ready with me. Austin wasn't picking me up until 5:30pm so we had plenty of time to get ready. First, Skyler did my hair. My hair is dark brown with a hint of Auburn it in. I have wavy hair so, Skyler straighten my hair, then put it up in a ponytail with my bangs down with two small pieces of hair on each side of my head. Next, she did my makeup. She put on brownish red eye shadow, mascara, red lip gloss, and a little foundation to cover up a pimple. Finally, I put on my dress. My dress was ruby red. It was strapless and it cut off around my knee. My outfit was pretty simple for prom, but I never really liked to get all dolled up. Just as I was finishing up, I heard the door bell ring. I yelled downstairs for Alex to open the door. I heard Alex open the door and I heard Austin's voice. Alex was of course warning Austin about what would happen if he hurt me in anyway. Yes, Austin and Alex are best friends, but when it comes to me going on dates, Alex will rip your head off whether he is friends with you or not. I was finally finished getting ready and started to walk down stairs. As I made it down the steps, Austin smiled at me and said "You look beautiful, Al." "Thanks. Are you ready to go?" I replied. "Yeah, let's go." He told me. Austin grabbed my hand and lead me outside to his car. As he drove to the school, we just talked about random stuff like we usually do. We finally arrived at prom and Austin lead the way into the school. As we walked in I could hear music blasting. I said hello to all my friends and was talking to them, when A slow song started to play. It was Little Things by One Direction. Austin asked me "Can I have his dance?" "Of course." I responded. We went on the dance floor and started slow dancing. Austin started singing to me. We got closer as the song continued. When the song ended, Austin leaned in and kissed me passionately on the lips.
