The Hotel Obsidian was quiet. Very quiet. An unusual, almost uncomfortable silence filled the air as Stellar made her way down the hallway to the elevator, gently pressing the button. She could hear the mechanical whir as the elevator moved to her floor.

After the wedding last night, and her encounter with a very drunk Five, Stellar had just decided to go to bed, wanting to be able to rest before today. So many futures and fates depended on the choices made in the next 24 hours. Lives depended on it.

Last night after making her way to a room and immediately ridding herself of her dress and changing into something more comfortable, Stellar had tossed and turned in the bed, unable to sleep. She knew that all the other siblings would probably be messing around elsewhere in the now deserted hotel.

Visions of blood, dead bodies, weapons and golden beams plagued her thoughts and flashed in her mind anytime she closed her eyes, sending sharp pains through her head. The idea to just knock herself out crossed Stellar's mind multiple times, but she never acted on it.

The elevator dinged as it arrived on the bottom floor. Stellar rubbed her eyes, running her hand through her hair as she stepped into the small area. Today was going to be a long day.

---

Stellar makes her way through the empty lobby, the silence almost comforting as she walked around. Suddenly, she heard the clashing of pots and pans in the kitchen, followed by a groan.

"Ughhhh. Why?"

Stellar raises a brow, recognising the voice as Five. Of course he wouldn't be where she left him last night. She sighs, making her way over to the kitchen.

For a second she stands outside the door, listening as Five murmurs something inaudible. Eventually, she opens the door, casually walking in.

"Morning." She greets, walking over to the sink and grabbing a glass. Five squints at her for a second.

"Hi." He responds flatly.

"And, what a miracle, he's sober. How's hangover?" She teases, filling up the glass. Five rolls his eyes, groaning again.

"Not good."

Stellar shrugs in a 'that's fair' gesture, walking over to him and handing him the glass.

"Can't say I didn't warn you." She says, leaning on the counter where he's currently perched as he downs the glass.

She tries not to think about what happened last night. He clearly didn't remember any of it.

"So...what were you talking about?" She probes.

"What?" Five questions. He seems to be thinking too now, his brain probably just registering everything that happened last night.  A looks of slight alarm is on his face for less than a second before he masks it with his usual stoic expression.

"Just then. Before I came in." Stellar clarifies.

He seems to relax a bit, as if he was ready to have a whole other conversation. Maybe about his drunken speech at the wedding, when he wasn't tipsy enough to not remember anything. There was always...that slim chance that he remembered what he said to her last night, but Stellar pushed that thought out of her head. He was barely sober enough to walk, let alone think rational thoughts.

"Nothing." He dismisses. He looks at her for a second, his expression unreadable before he sighs and runs a hand through his messy hair.

"I need to think." He states, his expression far away.

Stellar takes the hint to leave the room. She stands up properly, walking towards the door again.

Before she leaves, she turns back to him, echoing the words she'd said to him after she'd watched him assassinate the board of directors back in Dallas.
