Chapter 14 'I did this to myself, didn't I?'

The room is eerily quiet as Stellar eyes Reginald, who is flipping through pages in his journal. That's when she spots a movement.

She furrows her brows as Klaus looks at her, waggling his eyebrows. He mouthes something over dramatically before pointing at himself, then making some random arm movements that looked more like a ballet than a mime.

She gives him a resigned look, but relief is evident under her calmer facade. He grins at her before his smile drops and he points at Reginald. At this point it's a wonder that Reginald hasn't heard the air swooshing around because of Klaus' dramatic arm movements.

Klaus points at Reginald, wriggling his finger before pointing at himself, then using a finger to slice it across his neck.

Reginald killed me.

Stellar nods. Even having seen Reginald shamelessly pushing Klaus back into the disintegrating world in a vision, there was something about seeing it in person that still managed to shock her.

Klaus shoots a glare at Reginald that on him looked more like a two year old's pout before poking his head around the pillar.

"Problem, dad?" He says, breaking the silence in the room.

Reginald's head snaps up, his eyes widening as he catches sight of Klaus.

"You!" He exclaims.

"You missed me." Klaus says.

"There's only one way into Oblivion. It's not possible." Reginald states in disbelief.

"Well, here I am." Klaus answers, walking closer.

"Fascinating!" Reginald muses. "I wish I could explore this more, my boy, but now isn't a good time."

He turns back to his journal, quickly dismissing Klaus.

"You used me. You know, to get the family here, I get it, but you...you used me." Klaus accuses, not willing to let the conversation drop that easily. "And then when I was no more use to you, you leave me to die on the floor?"

"Leave you to die?" Reginald echoes. "I did you a favour. I knew you'd find your way back to the Void where you belong."

Stellar tilts her head. The void?

"I do like it there." Klaus admits.

"Then why are you here?" Reginald shoots back.

"Because you murdered Luther." Klaus says in a hushed accusatory tone.

Stellar wonders if Klaus had seen Luther, since they were both dead. Where dead people went, she had no idea. Maybe the place they went was called the void.

On the more important side, she had just witnessed Reginald confess to Luther's murder. Having seen it in her visions, she did have to admit that it was a smart plan. Kill Luther to bring everyone together, give them the common enemy of whatever monsters lurked within this hotel, and get them all to Oblivion. With the world collapsing and people like Ben and Allison already on his side, it was a given that they'd all end up here.

"It was necessary. And effective." Reginald reasons.

"Who's next, Dad? Five? Viktor? The whole goddamn family?" Klaus cuts him off, his tone quiet but outraged.

Although she couldn't see any of Reginald's plans leading to any more murder, even thinking about seeing any of the other Hargreeves siblings dead bothered Stellar more than she would have liked to admit.

"Stop this at once!" Reginald snaps. "Everyone's in position. The battle's about to begin. I am one bell ring away from my prize. You're going to ruin everything!"
