Riley's POV
"Riley I-"
I didn't want to hear anyone's excuses, so I left. Tears were stinging the corners of my eyes as I ran off.
I ended up in the park, sitting on a bench, sobbing into my knees.
Those traitors! After everything I've done for them...
My sadness suddenly turns into anger as I force my fist on the wood. Over and over... My hand becomes a bright shade of red as blood threatens to leek from my skin.
Just as I was about to slam my fist down once more, a hand stops it from touching the splintering wood.
"Hey, don't hurt yourself over this," coos a soft voice, slowly unclenching my hand and setting it down on his.
My tearful eyes look up. "You know?"
I hear a sigh. "The whole school knows."
Hearing that news drove me over the edge. Tears fall relentlessly my from my shut eyes. I grasp onto Farkle, embracing him with all I had.
"Shh. It's going to be alright," Farkle says holding me tight, lightly stroking my back. I thank him silently for always being there at these kind of moments. For what seems like hours, I don't let go of him. Even when I stop crying, I still hang on to his torso.
"Thank you," I whispers, finally letting go. I regret that instantly, feeling to absents of his heat.
Instead of responding, he just kisses my forehead lightly and pulls me in for one last hug before getting up and walking away.
A smile creeps up on my face. "What would I do without you?"
I decide to head home and rethink everything that's happened in the past 2 hours.
I open the door to my dad talking to my mom on the couch. I could tell it was serious, they were using hushed voices and I could see my mom's cheeks were slightly damp. The sound of the slamming door awoke them from their trance.
"Sweety," my mother stands up and pulls me in for a hug. "I'm so sorry." It's moments like these where I truly appreciate the parents I have.
"It's fine." Topanga lets go and I straiten myself out. "I've decided it to give it some thought on what I should do next. And if you wouldn't mind, I would like to do it alone," I sigh, hoping to get my point across. I watch my parents give each other a knowing glance.
I leave the living room to my bedroom where I face a closed door. Slowly, I open it, careful not to wake Auggie from his nap. I step into a dark room, turning on the lights to face someone who I hoped not to see for quite a while.
The voice was oh so careful, as if to woo a child to sleep.
"Peaches"

I little Riarkle there for you.
Ok, so here's the deal. After I got back from camp, I honestly forgot about updating. Then school started and I couldn't find the time to take the time to write a chapter. I have felt super guilty about not updating for over 2 months, so please do me a favor and don't hate me, I feel bad enough as it is. Thank you for your patience, I really do appreciate it.
Alright, to the actual story. I'm aware this is a short chapter, but I wanted to get one up for you guys. I don't know what the next chapter is exactly going to look like, but I believe it will mainly address Maya and Riley's relationship. Let's just say that things aren't exactly perfect between Maya and Lucas currently, but that for chapter 9.
Again, I am so so so sorry
