I wake up in the morning with Christian looking at me.
I roll, but unfortunately for me, I roll right of the bed.
"Ow," I mumble once I sit up, I glare at Christian, "Why are you in my cabin at..." I look at the clock, "7 in the morning."
"So we can all go play volleyball," he offers me a hand, I take it and he pulls me up.
Marissa and Maya are still complaining to their boyfriends about how they woke them up.
I look back at Christian who is still looking at me, "I'm gonna go get dressed," then I walk towards my bathroom.
I straighten my hair in 5 minutes, get ready, then I slip on black shorts that go to about mid-thigh, a black My Chemical Romance T-shirt, and my grey high-tops.
When I walk out of the bathroom, the guys are just casually laying on the beds, "The girls are getting ready," Brody looks over at me from Marissa's bed.
I sit next to Christian on my bed, he is wearing a white T-shirt, and green and grey swim trunks as shorts.
Marissa and Maya come out of their bathrooms wearing tank tops and short shorts.
"Ok," Marissa says, "lets go play volleyball."
"What are the teams?" I ask.
"Well, every cabin picks a cabin to partner up with," Carter says as we walk out of my cabin, "and our cabin is paired up with yours."
"So," Christian says, "we are partnered up for every sport."
"Sounds fun," I say, "who are we playing?"
Maya shrugs, "don't know, we'll just have to go there and see."
We walk to the beach volleyball court to find my worst nightmare, "Seriously?"
Christian looks at me, "only with our luck, huh?"
"The world hates us," I state and we both start laughing.
Us laughing caught Cassidy's attention, she glared at me, "so Christian," she said turning her gaze toward the tall dark haired boy next to me, "you didn't accept my offer so you go pair up with these losers."
"I didn't pair up with you for many reasons," Christian retorts, he puts his arm around my waist, "and they aren't losers."
"Let's just start the game," one of Cassidy's minions suggests.
"Ya, whatever," she says walking to her side of the court, "we play to 21, I get first serve."
We all line up, I serve next, she serves the ball and it goes straight for Brody, he sets it to Christian, who bumps it to me, then I spike it and it hits the ground on her side of the court, "Oh ya," I say, "Did I mention I way the volleyball captain in my school."
Christian sniggers, meanwhile one of the guys in the opposite team passes me the ball.
I serve the ball, Cassidy and one of her minions dive for it, but it lands in front of them.
20 points later, Christian, Brody and I were the only ones that served, we won 21-9
I got most of the points, I think I proved myself as competition to Cassidy.
My team all cheered, and Christian and Carter put me on their shoulders.
Once the put me down, Cass and her minions came to us, "Next time you won't be so lucky, Thalia."
My team bursts out laughing, and as she stomps off.
Marissa and Brody go off toward the forest, and Maya and Carter go toward the football field.
"So," Christian looks at me, "You want to go for a walk to the docks?"
"Sure," I nod.
-------------------------------------
"That was awesome the way you made her so mad," Christian looks at me as we dip out feet in the lake, as we sit on the dock.
"Awesome?" I question him, "I think I just started World War 3," he laughs and I join in.
"Tell me about your family," Christian says once we stop laughing.
"Ok," I start, "I have 4 older siblings, 1 sister and 3 brothers, Tamara is the oldest she is 26 and also my only sister, she is a doctor, then there's Tyson, he's 23, he is studying to be a vet, then Treyson, he's 21,and is going to school to be an architect, then there's Tripp, he's 19, and he's studying to be a lawyer, and I'm the youngest at 17, and have know idea what I want to do with my life when I graduate, my brothers are too over protective and my sister neglects me and my brothers, I guess my brothers are the reason why I'm such a tomboy. My parents names are Mark and Andrea Anderson, they are rich business workers and are currently in Paris in for business meetings. That's about it."
Christian looks at me for a bit, "ok," I say after a while, "Your turn."
"Well," he looks at the lake then back at me, I put my legs on the dock, and cross them, facing Christian, "I have 1 sibling, an old brother named Christopher Castel, he's 25, he's a lawyer that works for my parents, my parents, Christina and Chance Castel own Castel Law-firm. So, we are a rich family, I'm moving to a small place outside the city, so I can try to graduate at a new school, because I didn't graduate at my old school, I'm the child that is more of a disappointment, and my parents are mad that I don't want to be like them and my brother and be a lawyer, I don't know what I want either." He looks at me the same way he did before, "What?" I cock my head to one side.
He looks at the water then back at me, I can't quite place the look in his eyes as he says, "Nothing," then he blushes.
What was that all about?
I shake any thoughts out of my head, i look up and he's still looking at me, "Don't look at me like that," I say.
He smiles, "Like what?" He questions still looking at me.
"Like that," I say, smiling, I slash him with water.
"Oh," he says with a mischievous look in his eyes, "I see how it is."
Then he pushes me in the lake, "Jerk," I say, "the least you can do is help me up."
He sticks his hand down toward me, I take his hand, but before he can pull me up, I pull him in.
"Hey," he says, "You tricked me."
"You pushed me in," I says mocking his whiny voice, I put my hands on the dock, and try to pull myself up, but before I got up, Christian pulls my leg so I fall back in.
I land in his arms, looking up at him, then a bell rang.
"I think that's the warning lunch bell," he says, his eyes still searching mine.
"Ya," I say, being the first to look away, "We should go get changed."
"Ya," Christian says, he pulls himself up on the dock, then he pulls me up, "I'll race you," he challenges.
"1, 2..." I start.
"3." we say at the same time racing down the dock, obviously he was gonna beat me, but while we were running, I felt something, I think I'm falling for most popular boy at camp.
