"What's wrong, little brother?" Christopher smirks, "Didn't you miss me."
"'Miss' isn't the word I'd use," Christian fires back.
"Who's the pretty girl?" Christopher takes a step closer to us.
Christian steps in front of me, "Touch her, so help me god I will-"
"Are you really gonna threaten me?" Christopher asks.
"Whatever it will take to get you too leave," Christian glares.
"I'm just curious about the girl my brother is 'hanging out' with," Christopher used air quotes.
I step out from behind Christian, I grab Christian's hand and sneeze it reassuringly, "I'm Thalia, Christian's girlfriend."
Christopher raises his eyebrows, then smirks at Christian, then looks back at me, "You know Christian's last girlfriend ended up with me, and I wonder if it will happen again, and I'm really hoping it will because you are gorgeous, and really are a step up from the last one. Hey Christian, let's let her decide, because I think-"
Before Christopher could finish his speech Christian launches at him, Christian tackles Christopher onto the sand.
"Don't you dare talk about her like she's a toy, don't you dare," he shouts.
"Christian," I say in a calm voice, "Hey, let's go for a walk, just you and me, okay?"
He looks up and his eyes immediately soften, he nods.
"Now get up," I say.
I reach my hand down, and he takes it, we walk towards the cabins to change, once we are in my cabin I look at him, "I'm gonna go change in my bathroom, then we can go to your cabin so you can change, okay?" He nods in return.
I walk into my bathroom, I slip on shorts, a t-shirt, and Converse, and the whole time all I can think about is how worried I am about Christian, he hasn't spoken a word since his out break.
I walk out and see him just staring at the floor.
"Let's go to your cabin now," I say and drag him behind me and into his cabin.
He grabs shorts and a t-shirt then goes into the washroom, I lay on his bed and wait for him, 5 minutes later I hear hear the bathroom door click open, I just keep my eyes trained on the roof, his footstep come closer to the bed, he lays down next to me, and flips me on my side, and wraps his arms around my waist, he moves the hair from my eyes.
"Hey," he says," look, I'm sorry you had to-"
"I'm not," I say, "I want to be here for you, I want-"
He cuts me off by kissing me, our lips move in sync, I pull away when I'm out of breath, we both breathe heavily, "I'm sorry," he says looking me in the eyes, sheepishly, "I got caught up, and I will forever need you."
I run my hands through his hair, "Just wait till you meet my family, I'll need you just as much as you need me."
"I like it when you're  here with me," he smiles, "You have no idea how much I'll need you during family day, let's make a deal, I'm there for you, your there for me."
"Deal.
I lay my head on his chest, he plays with my hair, "When is family day?" I ask curiously.
"In a week and a half," he mumbles into my hair, "My mom is coming... I hope my dad doesn't, and I'm stuck with... You know... So..." He trails off, " who's all coming from your family?"
I think back to the message I got from my parents a couple nights ago, "My parents said them and my siblings, but I doubt it."
Christian chuckles softly, making his chest vibrate, " you have so much faith in them."
"Do you blame me?" I question him looking up.
He looks me in the eye, slowly says, "Not. At. All."
I smile, and give him a short kiss, "We should go, the others will be looking for us."
I start to get up, suddenly, I feel his hands on my waist, "nope," Christian pulls me back, so my back lands on his chest, "You can't get away from me that easily."
He lays me beside him and starts ticking me, "No, Christian," I scream, between laughs I say, "If... You... Tickle... Me... I'm... Not... Responsible... For... Your... Injuries..."
He laughs as I laugh, the door jerks open, "Found them," Carter calls out the door, the others poor in.
"Chris," Brody says, using Christian's nickname, "look, we just saw-"
"I know," Christian cuts him off, "We saw him too."
"And?" Marissa and Maya say at the same time.
"And..." Christian says, then sighs, "I lost it."
"You attacked him, didn't you?" Carter says, eyeing him suspiciously.
Christian nods, "and if it weren't for her, it'd be worse."
Everyone is silent for a bit, "Let's go for lunch," Brody says, "I'm hungry."
"You always hungry," Marissa states.
"But you
love me anyways," he says proudly.
"Sadly, yes," she says.
"Well, come on, let's go," Christian says, getting off the bed, offering his hand to me, "We don't want Brody to die of starvation."
"At least someone understands me," he sighs, everyone trades smiles at Brody's comment as I accept Christian's hand.
We walk out of the cabin as a group, but of course, there just has to be one problem after another, and I'll give you one guess on what this problem is...
Cass walks right up to us, "Hey, guys," she says, trying to act friendly, but that lasted about five seconds till she smirks and turns to Christian, "So, I see you brother is here."
As she mentions Christopher, Christian tenses up, "Congratulations," he deadpans, "You're not blind."
"So anyways," she says stepping closer, Christian puts his arm around me protectively, "He asked me out on a date, so I just figured, ha why not have the first born if I can't have the second, but now is your last chance to change that, what do you say."
"You and my brother are perfect together," he says, no emotion on his face, his eyes hard, but confident, "I mean, you are both full of yourselves, self centred, rude, arrogant, freaks of nature, annoyingly cocky... Shall I go on, because I can."
She looks like she just seen a ghost, but quickly recovers, "I have my answer, Christopher is my choice, but there will always be hope for you..." She smiles, "it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when it happens, I will choose you."
And with that she walks away.
For a second everyone is silent, but of course, Christian had to break that silence by laughing.
"Told you guys, she and my brother are perfect for each other," everyone else starts to laugh, even I find myself softly chuckling, everyone walks up ahead, Christian snakes his arm around my waist and pulls me closer to him, "You want to know the mane reason why them two are perfect for each other?"
"Why?" I ask.
"Because..." He says looking at me, "they both share my hatred."
I softly laugh at him, I kiss him as we start walking again, when we pull away from each other he looks at me with intense and serious eyes, "Can you promise me something?"
"Anything," I say, snapping my eyes up to look at him, he looks serious, but yet protective at the same time, "stay away from Christopher."
"I don't even want to argue with you on that one," I say without hesitation.
He smiles, "I'm grateful for that," then he looks at me, "if he really did make you choose, who would you-"
I kiss him to interrupt him, "You," I say, "The answer will always be you."
He smiles then kisses me again, "I have the same answer for you."
"Hurry up," Cater yells from ahead, "Brody is starving."
Christian rolls his eyes, but starts walking with me at his side, "oh no," he whispers sarcastically, "the world is gonna end."
I roll my eyes as we catch up to our friends.
