The morning sun filtered through the kitchen window, casting a warm glow over the bustling scene. Gemini was at the stove, expertly flipping pancakes while the twins sat at the table, squabbling over the maple syrup. Fourth bustled around, setting plates and pouring juice, his usual calm demeanor laced with a subtle tension.

"Uncle Gem, is it ready yet?" one of the twins called out impatiently, her voice echoing through the kitchen.

"Almost, Hana," Gemini replied with a smile, though his mind was clearly somewhere else. His thoughts drifted back to the previous day's encounter with Pond—a meeting that felt like opening an old wound.

Phuwin walked into the kitchen, his face unreadable but his posture tense. It had been a long, sleepless night for him. Seeing Pond again had stirred up emotions he'd tried to bury, and facing his children, knowing they were Pond's as well, brought a bittersweet ache that he couldn't shake.

Gemini glanced over at Phuwin, catching the flicker of pain in his gaze. He knew this reunion had shaken Phuwin, and he couldn't blame him. They'd built a life together here, one that had always felt safe and hidden—until now.

"Morning," Phuwin murmured, taking a seat across from the twins. His eyes softened as he looked at them, his heart swelling with a mixture of pride and sadness. They had Pond's smile, his spark. It was impossible not to see him in them, even if Pond didn't know the truth.

Hana and her brother Park looked up from their plates, grinning. "Morning, Daddy!" they chimed in unison, oblivious to the tension around them.

Gemini set a stack of pancakes in front of them, ruffling Park's hair as he sat down. "Eat up, you two. We've got a busy day ahead."

Later that morning, as Gemini and Fourth took the kids to school, Phuwin found a quiet moment to himself. He sat by the window, gazing out at the city skyline, his mind swirling with memories of Pond and the life they'd once dreamed of sharing.

Phuwin closed his eyes, letting the memories wash over him. He remembered the way Pond used to make him laugh, the way he'd hold him close and promise that they'd always be together. But those dreams had crumbled under the weight of family expectations and responsibilities he could never escape.

His gaze drifted to a framed photo on the table—a picture of the twins on their first day of school, grinning up at the camera with boundless energy. They were his life now, his family. But part of him couldn't help but wonder what it would have been like if Pond had known, if they could have raised them together.

The guilt gnawed at him. He knew he'd made the choice to protect Pond, to shield him from the burden of his family's complicated world. But seeing Pond again had reopened that wound, reminding him of everything he'd sacrificed to keep his children—and Pond—safe.

He took a deep breath, pushing the memories back into the depths of his mind. There was no going back. He'd made his choice, and he would live with it, no matter how much it hurt.

That evening, after the children were in bed, Gemini and Fourth sat together on the couch, the house quiet except for the distant hum of traffic outside. Fourth handed Gemini a cup of tea, his expression thoughtful.

"How's Phuwin holding up?" Fourth asked, breaking the silence.

Gemini sighed, leaning back. "He's... struggling. Seeing Pond again stirred up a lot. He's questioning everything, but he won't admit it."

Fourth nodded, a hint of sadness in his gaze. "I can't imagine what he's feeling. After all these years... I thought we'd buried the past."

"We have," Gemini replied quietly, his voice steady but heavy with conviction. "But sometimes, the past finds a way back, even when we're not looking."
