Mark's Perspective

Mark Pakin watched from his concealed spot near the property, keenly observing Phuwin's movements. It had been days since he'd set up his post, reporting every detail back to Phuwin's father. He hadn't expected his mission to involve more than simple surveillance, but now that Phuwin's children had come into view, he realized he had stumbled upon a potential threat to his employer's legacy—one that had to be handled carefully.

As Phuwin's father's most trusted subordinate, Mark had been sent to verify rumors that Phuwin had not only resurfaced but had reconnected with his old lover, Pond. Phuwin's father was adamant about severing any influence Pond might have over his son, and Mark's orders were clear: observe and report. He had been stationed here for days, carefully noting Phuwin's comings and goings, his visitors, and any signs of weakness or defiance.

Just as he was about to shift his position, he noticed movement. Fourth, Phuwin's close friend, had returned, leading a small group of children from the direction of the school bus stop. Mark squinted, studying each child closely. He had suspected for some time that Phuwin was hiding something more than just an old relationship with Pond. The two children clinging to Fourth's hands bore an uncanny resemblance to Phuwin.

Mark's suspicion hardened into certainty. These children are Phuwin's. And perhaps... Pond's as well.

The revelation was unexpected, and Mark felt a surge of excitement. This information would be valuable leverage. If Phuwin's father knew the truth, he would undoubtedly see it as a threat to the family legacy—a legacy that did not include heirs fathered outside their control.

But as Mark continued watching, Fourth's head turned slightly in his direction. His movements became more alert, his gaze sweeping across the yard with caution. Mark cursed under his breath. Fourth had noticed him.

Fourth's Perspective

Fourth held tightly to the hands of his two young charges, their laughter and chatter filling the air as they walked home from school. It was a routine he enjoyed—seeing the kids' joy and watching them grow. It was also a reminder of the new family they'd built, one that was based on trust and love, not the strict obligations that once bound Phuwin to his own family.

As they neared the house, Fourth felt an odd sensation—a prickling awareness that they were not alone. It was subtle, but years of living in Germany with Phuwin and Gemini, always mindful of threats from Phuwin's family, had made him vigilant. He glanced around, his gaze catching a shadowy figure near the far side of the property. Mark, he realized immediately. He had been briefed on Phuwin's father's loyal henchman and recognized him instantly.

Trying not to alarm the kids, Fourth kept his pace steady. "Let's hurry inside, alright?" he said, his voice cheerful but firm. The children nodded, unaware of his tension, and followed him through the side gate.

Once safely inside, Fourth's tone grew serious. "Stay in here, kids. Uncle Fourth needs to make a call." He quickly shut the door, bolting it as he reached for his phone.

Fourth dialed Gemini, his voice low but urgent. "Gem, it's me. We have a problem."

Gemini's response was immediate, his tone sharp. "What is it? Are you and the kids alright?"

"We're fine, but we're not alone. Mark Pakin is here. He's watching the house."

There was a pause, then Gemini's voice softened with determination. "I'm on my way. Keep the kids safe and stay alert. I'll be there soon."

Fourth's heart raced as he ended the call, shifting his focus back to safeguarding the children. He peeked through the window, watching Mark's figure lingering at the edge of the property. He knew Mark would be calculating his next move, and Fourth had no intention of letting him get anywhere near the family they'd worked so hard to protect.
