The world seemed to tilt as Phuwin watched the SUV disappear down the road, taking his son, Park, and Finn with it. Panic coursed through him, overwhelming every thought. He felt frozen, caught between the desperate urge to chase after them and the crushing weight of guilt settling in his chest. How could he have let this happen? He had promised to protect them, to keep them safe from the very people who had been haunting him since he broke free from his father's control.

Phuwin's mind flashed to his father, the cold, calculating face that had dictated so much of his life. His father's words echoed in his ears, taunting him: "I know what's best for you, Phuwin. Don't forget that." A sense of dread washed over him. Had this been his father's plan all along? To use his own children as a weapon to bring him back?

He squeezed his eyes shut, a memory surfacing against his will. Years ago, when he had first told his father about wanting independence, he remembered his father's response—a thin smile, barely veiling his disapproval. "Independence is a luxury that comes with obedience, Phuwin. Remember that."

Now, with Park and Finn taken, Phuwin's resolve grew. This was no longer about his own freedom but about his children's safety. He wasn't going to let his father—or anyone else—control his life or his family again. If it meant confronting his father directly, then he would do it. This time, he was prepared to fight back.

Pond was by his side in an instant, his arm around Phuwin, steadying him. "We'll get them back, Phuwin," he said, his voice low but full of conviction. "We'll do whatever it takes."

Phuwin nodded, barely holding back tears. "I have to talk to him, Pond. If he knows anything..." He trailed off, swallowing the knot in his throat.

Pond's face darkened. "If that's what it takes, then we'll face him together. But first, we need a plan."

While Phuwin struggled with the emotional weight of the situation, Dunk was already making phone calls, his tone measured as he pulled on every connection he had. He knew that every second counted, and in the back of his mind, an ever-present fear gnawed at him—a fear for Finn's safety.

He took a deep breath, allowing his thoughts to settle as he scanned through his contacts. There were people he could reach, favors he could call in, and information he could leverage. His voice calm, he spoke with Joong, who was coordinating with other friends and family, ensuring everyone was mobilized.

"Phuwin's father has resources everywhere," Dunk said, pacing. "We need to track down any known associates who might have helped orchestrate this. I have some contacts from my legal network who might know of any recent threats he's issued."

Joong nodded, his gaze steady. "You're the best at handling this. Just tell us what you need."

Dunk forced himself to stay focused, channeling his fear into action. He dialed the number of a trusted friend who specialized in security. After a brief conversation, he managed to gain access to a tracking network that could potentially trace the kidnappers' vehicle.

"We need people monitoring every possible lead," Dunk said, his tone resolute. "We'll find them. Finn... he's counting on us to stay calm and think this through."

Though his voice was steady, Dunk's heart raced. He had never felt so afraid, so utterly helpless. But he knew that if he faltered, the family would lose hope, and he refused to let that happen.

Joong took a deep breath as he scanned the faces of the remaining children, their wide eyes reflecting confusion and fear. He had gathered them together, doing his best to keep them calm, but inside, he was struggling with his own anxiety. Finn, his sweet, funny Finn, was in danger, and every second felt like a lifetime.
