Luna

It's easy to wake up on the wrong side of the bed for Luna, especially after five years of it, and if it weren't the ass crack of dawn she would probably wonder if that meant it wasn't the beds fault at all but something else entirely, however that would require being self-actualized enough to recognize that the bed's only as comfortable as it's made. She's never been one to put much care into her surroundings when there's so much more to deal with like her failing marriage or the impending self-destruction of L&L, but having to wade through piles of laundry because she can't afford a cleaner is seriously dampening her already terrible mood. The blaring alarm clock offers blissful silence once it's turned off, and she can finally start going about her routine for the day, which first starts with her checking her itinerary.

10 am – Meeting w/ Jun-Su & Ace, Subj: progress report

12 pm – interview w/ Rylie for keyboard

2 pm – On That Note Podcast guest appearance w/ Ace

6 pm – Dinner reservations w/ Mom

8 pm – Conference call w/ Steven, Subj: EP budget, touring, advertising

Overall, a laxer day than usual, maybe that can help improve her mood. Her second step is checking her emails and texts on her work phone. She immediately sees a text from Jun-Su, and while she assumed it was a response to an earlier question she had about their budget, it turns out to be far, far worse.

     'Fuck

     'Fuck.'

Luna drops back onto her bed and screams into the uncaring mattress until she feels less insane, then looks at her phone again with an unyielding sense of dread. If it wasn't Ace who figured this out then he's going to be told by Jun-Su before turning around to her and complaining about it for several hours again. She can already see the massive block of white text in her messages as she gets up and starts brushing her teeth as the third part of her routine. The response she gives him is rehearsed and is little more than grey rocking, but it occupies her time until she moves on to washing her face.

It's quiet in the home, with nothing more than the birds outside in her company but it's how she likes it. With the constant chaos of her work and social life the quiet is her favorite part of her day, and on the especially worse ones she'll take the droptop down and turn off her music to drive alone for an hour or two. Without her husband around its equal parts relaxing and lonely, but she endures as she always does and starts her shower. As the warm water billows steam between the glass panels her mind similarly fogs with thoughts of her husband and what he has to be doing right now- probably sleeping off another hangover. His inability to keep his drinking under control is partially what led to him being gone for what has to be a month now, squandering her money to drink in New York and try to sell one of his plays to some up-and-coming director who hasn't heard about his inability to keep a job.
