Astoria thought, crossing her arms as Krone glared them all down.
"Guys, it's okay! Let's hear her out." Norman said, giving the smile that always somehow managed to calm everyone down and reassure them that everything would be okay.
Krone threw her hands up into the air which made Astoria almost cringe. "He's right!" She exclaimed. "We should cooperate to each achieve our goals."
"Achieve our goals?" Emma asked, earning a nod from Krone.
Krone nodded. "Yes. You kids want to escape." She continued, "And I want to become the Mom of thie house. I want to drag Isabella down from the Mom position and take her place."
"Good luck with that." Astoria mumbled underneath her breath.
"What I'm saying is the truth. I want to break free too. From my current situation." She said.
Norman watched as Astoria tilted her head to the side in pretense curiosity, but he could tell she was really pissed off.
Krone pulled her shirt down a little bit, revealing an I.D number, similar to the kids'. "Are you aware of the management system of the Grace Field House? Girls who fulfill certain conditions and live until 12 years old are presented with two paths when they are about to be shipped out. One, to continue how they are and die. Or two, to aim to become a Mom." She explained.
Don felt sudden fear in his chest as he looked at the older woman, "What are the conditions?" He asked.
Krone looked down, her hands clasping together, giving the illusion that she was praying, which struck Astoria as confused.
Who the fuck would pray at a time like this?
But then again, it's sister Krone, she is quite the unique one.
"Scores above a certain number and the Mom's recommendation. If you can meet those two requirements, you can survive without escaping, if you're a girl at least." She said, "But I don't recommend that path. They'll make it so you'll never be able to leave this place."
