"ASTORIA AND PEPE ARE HERE!" The man's voice echoed through the base, carrying an unconscious Astoria on his back.
Emma, Nigel, Violet and Ray made a team effort to carry Pepe as they all entered the base.
Lucas' eyes widened in shock as his eyes landed on the man.
The man's heart dropped, his heart skipping a million beats.
Lucas..
Lucas!
Lucas rushed up to him, wrapping his arm around the man, "You're alive! Thank goodness!" He exclaimed as tears filled his eyes.
"That's my line, you big idiot!" The man told him with a relieved laugh, "But we can celebrate later."
"Yeah, bring Astoria and Pepe over here!"
Ray watched as the man and Lucas took Astoria away, laying her unconscious body on the ground, tears filling his eyes once more.
He felt like all he ever did was worry about her. He had just gotten her back, and he felt like he had just lost her all over again.
Not even ten minutes ago, he had his arms around her in that house.
Who knew that would be probably his last few minutes with her?
Emma rested her arm on his shoulder, "Hey." She said, "She'll be okay. It's Astoria we're talking about here."
Ray looked down at the ginger, giving her a small smile. "I worry about her, Em."
"I know, I saw you in the house." She said, making them both let out a chuckle. "Seriously though, don't panic. She's going to be okay. No doubt about it. Now let's go help, yeah?"
Ray nodded before the two walked over to them.
"We need to treat them and get them out of here as soon as possible." The man said, looking down at Astoria and then back up at the others.
