"Do you want to run away from here with me?"

"No, I can't forgive the poachers. I can't forgive this place. Even if we run away, this place still exists. I want to put an end to this hunting ground."

"Okay."

Lucas is my life saver, my mentor and...

"Let's end it. So that no one will feel this pain ever again."

"Leave you behind?" Lucas asked as tears filled his eyes. "Oliver, what are you suggesting?"

Oliver had a weak smile on his face, "Just as I said. Including Astoria, there are seven of us who are severely injured. Leave us behind here. That would solve everything."

Madison shook her head, "Oliver, no."

"Those two could take Astoria via the shortest route and everyone else could take the safe route you came by, the one that takes three weeks." He said, ignoring Madison because he knew he'd give in, "If you don't have the injured with you, Nigel and Violet will be enough to protect everyone on the journey."

"No!" Lucas exclaimed, tears now slipping from his eyes.

"It's enough Lucas." Oliver said, his tone soft and gentle. "You helped us. You gave us knowledge, skills, a reason to live and a family. You allowed us to stay, and you fought with us. You don't know how much that saved us. You're the closest thing to a father we've ever had. To us, you were a lifestyle, mentor, big brother and father."

Gillian smiled weakly, "Yeah.. That's why we all decided." She rasped out.

Violet was next to Sonya, helping her to sit up. "Yes, from the beginning. We've already prepared." Sonya spoke, groaning as her head felt like it could explode at any given moment.

"We..." Oliver said, before cutting himself off to breathe, "We don't want to be a hinderance. So that you, Astoria and everyone can live, please leave us behind."

There was a wave of silence for a few moments before Lucas finally spoke. "I can't leave you. To even think of it..." He muttered, closing his eyes for a second.

"We're not leaving anyone behind." Ray spoke, holding Astoria's hand in his own. "I'm going to save Astoria and we're all going home. We're going to the human world together."

"Astoria would never accept anything else." Madison said, making everyone laugh slightly.

"I'LL GO HOME with you guys." Ray said, walking over to Oliver and Lucas' group.

"What?" Violet asked, her eyes widening in shock.

Ray turned to her with a small smile, "I'll come with you guys to take everyone to the shelter safely."

"But what about Astoria?" Nigel asked.

Ray looked at the man who was stood next to Astoria, "Can I entrust Astoria to you, geezer?"

The man nodded with a small grin, "Got it, Ray." He said, "I'll get your best friend home and save her life. I promise."

"I'll go with you." Emma told the man, "To protect you. I can't have either of you dying on me now."

"Are you sure you'll be okay doing that?" The man asked, raising his eyebrow at her.

Emma nodded with a determined grin. "Yeah." She replied.

"Okay."

"Wait," Oliver coughed out, "Hold on, it's still dangerous. And we can't even move. We don't know of we'll last three weeks."

"But you're alive now!" Theo exclaimed. "As long as you're alive, you can't give up. We'll do everything we can to help you!"

"Yeah, we can atleast help carry you!"

Nigel smiled, "Sorry, Oli. I'm sick of sacrificing others." He said, Violet agreed.

"Yeah, we have Adam too. We'll manage." She said, smiling.

Ray smiled as he took his jacket off and replaced it with another, "You'll have plenty of chances to die outside of here later. We've come this far. Let's all go home together." He told them.

"Alright then." Emma said, smiling as she put her hands on her hips.

"Then it's decided." The man saod, rolling his sleeves up. "Let's hurry. Treat the injuries and get ready to leave."

Once everyone was ready, Emma saw Ray talking to himself. She was worried that he would fall off the deep end without Astoria but there was absolutely nothing that she could do until she woke up.

"Hey, Emma! Can we have some help tying Astoria onto his back?" Lucas asked, gesturing to the man.

Emma nodded with a smile as she rushed over and helped them.

After helping, Lucas gave Emma a jacket to keep warm while they were gone. "Put this on. It'll keep you warm whilst you're traveling."

Emma smiled at him, "Thank you, Lucas." She said, putting the jacket on and grabbing her gun because she knew she would have to use it at some point.

The man looked at Emma with a small smile as Ray approached them, "Okay, everyone. Are you all ready?" The man asked.

And with that, the adventure began.
