Your POV

You wake up with an excruciating headache. You don't know what happened and you dont remember much. All you know is panic due to your sore muscles. You open your eyes seeing your in a dark room of some sort but you feel this irritation in your eyes. Burning. That's when a door next to you opens making you go on alert for a brief moment realizing it was Zemo.

"Your awake" he said kind of relieved?

"What happened?" I asked.

"You fainted. The others suspicions were true as you did see Rumlow as Barnes but...you couldn't handle it" he stated.

"His face brought back memories. Too many my body couldn't handle" I mumble while sitting up realizing I'm on a bed. "Where am I?".

"The Queen gave you a bed. I am the third person to watch you tonight to make sure you wake up at least".

"Were they mad?" I question.

"At Barnes? You bet. I even got upset. Mad no" he said.

"He's desperate. He always had eyes on my even if they weren't through his. He just wanted to see me even if it was just a week" I stated.

"Oh. Well you've been out for 2 days" he stated.

"2 days!" I say shocked.

"Your body couldn't keep up like you said but it was bad. You took out one fourth of the kingdoms power".

"Oh my god Romanda is gonna hate me now" I realize.

"Actually the opposite. See you doing...whatever you did took out a faulty power source so they were able to change it while it was down. You basically gave them something to do" he explained.

"I shouldn't be a mission or a task" I said.

"I've seen your soldier. You are the best thing for him. Maybe the rest of the Avengers but I was mainly focusing on Barnes" he said.

"Where are they?" I asked.

"All sleeping. I should be waking up Shuri to check on you" he pointed out.

"Shuri is a kid?" I say confused.

"A kid who took out speakers and metal contacts out of your head" he said.

"She did it already?" I question getting up and seeing a mirror on the wall and seeing my eyes back to normal.

"She said if you were to wake up your eyes would be burning and irritated so that's why the lights are off. But also it is the night so it's extra dark" he said pointing to the window letting me see the city. "I'm also pretty sure Barnes has next watch over you in a couple minutes" he said giving me a slight smirk.

"Oh so you can make fun of me but I can' make fun of you?" I asked.

"No" he said putting on a serious face again.

"You know you love me" I said smiling.

"Your tolerable" he stated.

"But why? You hate the Avengers so why help me? You do know after this I sign a contract to become one as well?" I state.

"You weren't an Avenger then. My hate for Barnes was a mask to get something done. A bad thing" he said sitting on the bed. "But I realized when I saw you in the compound that you were different. One you actually spoke to me and two gave me food with flavor" he said making me chuckle. "But you also remind me of someone I loved".

"Your wife?" I question getting a nod. "Can I ask how?" I ask sitting next to him.

"I knew her since grade school. What drew her to me was how she looked. But more how she acted. Even though I was considered what you now call a 'jock' she kind of fought out the bad side of me. Made me sit with her friends unless I was good. Then I'd sit with my friends. Then the war".
