Kayleighs POV

“Are you pregnant?” I shot my head in the nurse’s direction. “No!” she let out a slight giggle. “It’s just a mandatory question I have to ask when people get x-rays”  “Oh…” I laughed with her. I laid on the cold table; my butt was exposed through the robe they forced me to put on. Was this really necessary? I had a sprained ankle, like really? “Okay, when I say 3 I need you to close your eyes for me.” I nodded in agreement. “One… two… three.” I shut my eyes. “Alright, now I’m going to shift your ankle, it may hurt a little bit so I’m sorry.” She smiled at me and shifted my throbbing ankle. I clenched in pain. “So, again when I say three, shut your eyes, okay honey?” she disappeared behind a wall, calling out. “One… Two… Three.” My eyes shut for the last time. I reopened them. “Alright, I’ll wheel you down to a bed and we will see what the doctor says.” She assisted me to the wheel chair, and we went into the hallway. She pushed me to a small bed. “Alright honey. Just wait here until the doctor comes.” She helped me up into the bed and pulled the covers over my one leg, propping up the other. I laid my head back on the pillow, looking up at the ceiling. I had a massive headache and I was a little dizzy. I began to grow bored, I counted the tiles on the roof. “101, 102, 103…” “Miss,” the doctor walked into the room. My eyes shot at him. He came up close, pulling a chair next to me. “So, how did this all happen?” he rolled to my ankle, taking it in his grasp. I yelped a little bit at his touch, but I continued. “Well, Justin and I were at a store.” I lied. “And we were on out way home when we realized the paparazzi were behind us, so I kicked off my heels and Justin put me on his back.” He nodded his head and felt my ankle. He interrupted. “Good choice not running in the heels.” “So, we were about to walk into the hotel when one of the paparazzi yanked me off his back, I fell on the floor and smacked my head and did this to my ankle.” His eyes met mine. “You hot your head?” I nodded. “I think we should give you a CAT scan. Do you have a headache?” How did he know? “Yeah…” “How about do you feel dizzy?” I shook my head. “Nurse, take this young lady to the CAT scan. I’ll be back soon after I look at her x-rays.” The nurse came over and pulled me out of the bed. I’ve never had to get a CAT scan before. I gulped pretty loud; I’m guessing the nurse could sense I was nervous. “Don’t be nervous honey, you’ll be okay.” She smiled at me and I smiled back. “Thanks.” We pulled into this huge room, there sat a tunnel looking thing. It was kind of scary. The nurse held me stand up and assisted me onto this bed. “Okay, we are going to push this button, then I will walk out and watch you in the other room over there.” She pointed to a glass room in the corner. “You have to stay relaxed and close your eyes. It won’t hurt I promise.” I nodded and laid back. She pressed the button and left. Inside there were bright lights I could see through my eyelids. I felt myself being pulled out of the CAT scan. I laid there motionless until the nurse came to get me. “I need you to stay still please.” I was so confused. She sped me to the bed and helped me in. “The doctor will be back.” She left in a hurry. I had no idea what was going on until the doctor came in. “We are going to have you stay over night miss.”

Justin’s POV

It had been an hour and a half without a word from anyone; I began to leave that calm state of mind. I got up and paced the waiting room for quit sometime. I finally saw the doctor come out. “Mr. Bieber. I’m sorry to have to say…” My heart dropped. “Your girlfriend is going to have to spend the night…”

“What?!” my eyes shot open. “Why! What is wrong!” I ran my fingers through my hair. “She has a severe concussion. When she fell, she hit her head. If she moves her head in a fast motion it could hurt her mentally.” My heart broke. “Is she going to be okay?” I couldn’t gather enough spit in my mouth to swallow. I was dry. “Yes, if she doesn’t do any sudden movements with her head, she should be just fine.” I took a sigh of relief. At the same time I was worried but not. “C-can I see her?” I gulped. “Of course, right this way.” The doctor led me down a couple hallways. “Right up there and to the left.” He pointed about 4 rooms down. “Thank you.” We both broke off into separate directions; I went from walking at the same pace of the doctor to a quick jog. I ran into the room, trying not to startle Kayleigh. I slowly approached her body laying flat with her eyes closed. I could see her chest breathing up and down, her brown hair lying perfectly next to her. “Babe?” I put my hand on her upper arm, rubbing back and forth. “Don’t move your head okay?” her eyes began to slowly open. “Hey Justin.” She very carefully turned her head. I pulled up a huge seat from the opposite corner of the room, my muscles bulged. I sat down to see her still with a huge smile on her face. “How are you feeling?” I smiled back, placing my hand on her head, brushing her hair back. “I’m feeling alright, I have a massive headache and I’m a little light headed.” “Do you want some water?” I spoke soft and gently, making me sound warming and welcoming. “Um, no thank you. I’m fine for now.” She closed her eyes slightly. “I’m going to stay here all night, right by your side. Okay?” She re opened her eyes, staring back at me. “No, Justin you have to get a goodnight sleep. You have rehearsals in the morning remember?” Shit, I almost forgot. “I know, but I’m not leaving you.” “Justin, you need to be intact for this tour, remember? This is your whole career. I’ll be fine. I promise.” She took my hand in hers, rubbing my knuckles gently. She had an IV running in her arm. “If I’m not staying with you, then Alfredo is.” “Now Justin—“ I cut her off. “No buts.” She managed to roll her eyes playfully. “Just go get some sleep, I want to hear good things tomorrow.” She smiled. “I’ll be right back.” I stood up placing a warm kiss on her forehead. I slowly walked into the hallway, pressing my back against the wall sliding down. I pulled my phone out of my pocket to dial Fredo’s number, “Hey Bieber, how’s the little lady doing?” “She’s doing okay. She has a severe concussion. The doctor said any sudden movements then she could be messed up mentally.” There was a long pause. “How? I thought it was her ankle?” “Well, she ended up hitting her head on the pavement.” “Oh.” “Yeah, I wanted to know if you could stay with her tonight, she doesn’t want me to stay because of rehearsals in the morning.” “Now that’s a sweet girl.” Fredo let out a laugh. “Yeah.” I mumbled. “So will you?” “Of course man, I’m on my way.” “Cool thanks man.” I hung up the phone, sliding back into my pockets.  I sat against the wall for a couple more minutes, regaining my composure. How did all of this get so out of hand? The paparazzi should be in trouble for this, how could they do that to someone? Especially a girl. I felt as if all of this was my fault. I walked into her life, took her by the hand and had her follow me into the limelight. Her life will never be the same. It’s all because of me. I finally stood up, running my hands through my hair, walking under the door frame to say goodnight to Kayleigh. “Hey honey.” She smiled at me. I chuckled, “Hey Kayleigh.” I brushed her hair once more, placing a kiss upon her head. “Fredo is going to come, okay? I’ll see you tomorrow. I promise.” “Alright babe, have fun at rehearsals.” She again, smiled. “Be careful okay?” “I will.” I put a kiss on her lips, walking away and turning back once to blow her a kiss. I made my way down to the lobby, meeting the bus out front. Fredo and I switched spots, crossing each other’s way. “Take care of her, please.” I mumbled in his ear, he nodded. I walked up into the tour bus, plopping on the seat.

Fredo’s pov

I wandered up to the front desk. “Kayleigh Bie- I mean Mcginty.” I don’t know why I just said that. The lady lightly chuckled. “Room B207 west wing.” I shot her a flirtatious smile and walked down the eerie halls. At this point it was 1 am, I knew I wasn’t going to get much sleep. I entered the room to see Kayleigh laying facing up at the ceiling tiles. “You counting the tiles?” I laughed and so did she. Not budging her head she spoke out.  “Yeah, bored you know?” I shook my head and took the seat that was pulled up to the bed, I sat down and kept Kayleigh occupied. “So, how are you feeling?” “Eh, a little headache.” “Yeah, typical.” We talked and talk about her childhood, about her dad and her mom. She sounded like a well-rounded girl, I’m glad Justin found someone like her that makes him so happy. Just by learning some pointless facts about her, I came to the conclusion that she was just like Justin, she was a prankster and loved sports. Kayleigh was mid sentence when all of a sudden, she grew quieter and quieter.

Justin’s POV

I woke up the sound of my phone ringing. I glanced at the clock next to the bed before rummaging for my phone. 3 am. I found the phone, squinting at the screen trying to make the name clear. Fredooo. I fumbled the phone, quickly snatching it up once more. “Hello?” “Bro, get down here. Now. I don’t know what is going on.” My heart dropped. I hung up the phone and pulled the closest shirt over my head. I ran out into the hallway, banging on Scooter’s door. He answered it quickly. “It’s 3 am Justin, what is it?” “Kayleigh.” He didn’t hesitate.
