Chapter 41 - Battles

When they entered the room, the monster wasn't there.

" You sure this is a good idea ?" asked Wayne

" No, but we don't have a choice " Allen replied

" So what do we do ? " asked Wayne

" I don't know, there is nothing here. Let's wait for the monster. " said Allen

Hours passed, then they heard a sound. They both went to hiding. After some time they heard the door opening and the monster came back inside . And it walked back and fell to the ground and become motionless. The aliens took lifted it with some sort of device and put it in a cage.

Allen and Wayne followed the aliens . Allen walked behind Wayne, who had the sword in his hand.

" I think it's asleep " said Wayne

" I think it's in a suspended animation. These things are controlling the monster. " Allen pointed towards the aliens. " Is this the same one that attacked you in the lab ? "

" No, it looked different, but I'm sure they all belong to the same group. We should kill it. " Wayne tightened his grip on the sword.

" No.... What are you doing ? We don't know what will happen if we kill it. " said Allen

" I don't care.... Theses monsters destroyed my life. All those dinosaurs died because of it. I don't believe these things deserve to live. " said Wayne

" We can't, atleast not in here. There is so much to learn about the aliens and these creatures. We've come this far, just wait a little longer. I got a feeling that we are getting closer to all the answers. " said Allen

Wayne calmed down a little. " Alright "

Allen looked closely at the monster. But he didn't see anything useful.

" Anything ? " asked Wayne

" Unfortunately no. It would have been much simpler with NOVA's help. " said Allen

The aliens moved the monster to another room. While following it Allen saw something else.

" Hey come with me, quickly " Allen sprinted towards a different door, with Wayne close behind. They barely made it into the room before the door slammed shut.

When they were inside, they saw four pods with dinosaurs inside.T-rex, an Allosaurus, a Giganotosaurus and a Spinosaurus. The pods were filled with a liquid.

" I saw them before, they were in the other room " said Wayne. What are they doing ? "

" I think I know. We'll have to wait and see if my assumptions are correct. " said Allen

The two went outside and waited when the door opened again. Several hours passed before they saw a large group of aliens heading to somewhere, so they followed them. Then they saw them stopping around a big hole in the ground.

Wayne and Allen found themselves standing on a ledge. Glancing down, they saw four monsters, each confined to a separate cage. Allen and Wayne noticed a large number of skeletons scattered around, making the area look like a graveyard.

" It's like a fighting pit "  said Wayne

Moments later, a force field suddenly materialized around the area, and then the cages swung open.

" Offcourse there is a force field." said Wayne

While they were talking the monsters simultaneously awakened.
