Distopian Recreation

Chapter 6

The vastness of the university drew nearer as we saw its raised entirety like a massive castle of old. My heart began raising as we traversed the raised road to make accessibility hard. Once we reached the top Brandon opened the gate for us and closed it shut so nothing can come. Once all the cars were parked in the parking area I got a better view of the place. The iron bar fence was raised high enough to keep those infernal creatures from jumping over it , I couldn't say much since I was doomed of becoming one.  

Blasted things for biting me.

I cursed in my head , looking at the fence. We soon movef into the sleeping quarters after a ten minute walk , there were more than enough rooms to accompany all of us to sleep in one room each. So we each picked four rooms wisely , my myself picking the room on the second floor and farthest away from the showers. After setting down my bags I decided to take a walk.

I got up and off the comfortable bed and headed for the door , but upon opening the door I saw what I didn't expect to see. Ethan , Brandon , Astrid and two other men I didn't know stood ahead of me. I took a few bewildered steps back while they instinctively moved forward. Ethan with apologetic eyes looked at me and moved farther closer.

" Sorry Raiden , but we know your infected and the best we can do is hold you in a cell till we find a way to uninfect you. Please don't put up a fight " he said lightly.

He was right , u couldn't put up a fight. Not only were they older than me but they had a bigger physique and body than me , aidedby their experience to it. It was an instant lose , but I didn't want to be held captive nor did I wamt to stay in a bloody cage the entire time. I shook my head and Sood enough they were trying to grab me.

In that moment a sharp pain struck me in the head , an emmense pain pulsating heavily in my head. Anger started appearing in my body as a redenned glow began taking over my eyes , I could no longer feel my body. I soon plunged into darkness as my vision blurred and went out , all that was left was my subconscious eyes.

My vision slowly returned and so was the feeling of my body. It was dark in whatever that held me captive was , my eyes gave a white glow and I felt a virus running through my body. My body felt strange , when I touched my face and unwrapped the bandages I felt that the wounds were completely gone. My eyes widened in shock amf wonder as to how.

I got up and saw that I was in some sort of room , the eas heavily installed bars which were meant to keep me in , I felt something stir inside of me. What was it , an instinctive reaction. It was telling ne to escape this place and flee. A yearning for the moon and the forests calling inside of me , I could no longer resist the temptation. I walked over drousily and pryed two metal bars apart with ease , I slipped through the gap I had created and looked down at the hallway ahead of me , taking one step I tripped a wire and it snapped. An alarm cried out within a second and the loudness pierced my eyes as I attempted covering them.

A figure with green lighten eyes emerged at the end of the hallway and caught sight of me. Two more figures emerged as the alarm got turned off and the lights on. Now that I was able to see. Ethan , Brandon and Astrid stoof ahead of me. " How did you get loose , I made sure to use the strongest metal i could find to forge those bars. I knew very well you arent as strong I am. " Ethan said with a puzzled expression on his face.

I tried to reply but my mouth stayed shut , I was unable to speak. So my response was just a glare in return. Astrid'd green eyes bore into my white glowing ones. " The infection process completed but his eyes are white , and he should've went rampage by now. I think he hasn't lost his mind "he said while standing himself into a battle position ready for any outcome.

I needed to get out of here before these three  caught me and did whatever they fitted the best way to secure me. I guess I didn't have much of a choice now did I ?

Closing my eyes and opening once more ,I ran at high speed towards them. Though I didn't put much force into the run I was running much faster than Id put effort into. This speed was the same speed I ran when I was actually trying to run at my fastest with the boost of my abilities but this time I wasn't using my abilities , it was my slowest run but why was I moving this fast ?

Astrid ducked out of the way with bewildered eyes letting me get past him , I successfully ran past Ethan and Brandon just as easily as I altered my direction , following the signs and directions to get the hell out of hear.

" Let's move we must not let him escape , run faster guys " I heard Ethan saying. They were trailing behind me and fast , I took a fast left turn and looked back as darkness now loomed over me. Brown eyes glowing furiously were catching up and I didn't like the looks of it. From my assumption it was Brandon. As I took another turn I saw the door leading outside and I knew.i was close to out.

I jumped at the door and rammed it down ,quickly getting to my feet and rushing forward , in full pivot speed. Just as u was halfway to the fence I felt a thin wire snag my foot. I faltered and fell to the ground , hitting the wall hard and way to painfully for my liking. I tried to get up but the pain was too much. Looking up and behind me I saw Brandon in the moonlight I'm the air headed toward me.

I forced myself up but I was way too slow to make anything of my balance , I felt his body colide with mine and I was forced onto the gravel floor once more. I felt the gravel crack under my body as my body was pressed against it by the bigger man. With no time wasted my hands were held together with Brandon's two hands and he wrapped his legs around my waist , upper body against the gravel and face outwards.

I tried wriggling fot freedom but the most I managed was too get loose. Brandons hold only tightened in the process. " Stop fighting , it'll only hurt you even more if you try anything futile " his rugged voice said from behind me although I didn't want to go back there , I had only one choice.

" Don't make me do anything stupid , let go I dont want to go back in there. I'm not one of you guys anymore so why won't you let me go " I said with an enraged shriek as a rear ran down my left cheek. I tried forcing out more but his hold only increased to a point where my muscles started to experience pain.

I felt two steps of footsteps racing towards us. " You caught him , great ! Now let's knock him out , I found a high melting pressure plexiglass cage to put him in " Astrid voice said as they drew nearer.

They soon looked down at me and I looked at them , Ethan was shattered enough to not say a word. It's as if he wasn't sure he wanted to do anything with me , but I wasnt sure of that now was I?

Anger swelled up.in my body even more , and I felt a swell of electrical influx eminated in my body. It was now or never. Releasing all the energy , I created an electrical shock around me. Electrocuting Brandon on the process. I saw Astrid and Ethan draw back. Only the yell of Brandons voice escaped the electric shock enveloping his body. He soon managed to close his mouth and grit his teeth. He grabbed my arms and swung me and sent me crashing down into the gravel. Allowing him to put himself directly above me.

That only made me release a much larger discharge. Making the pain even more unbearable to Brandon but to my suprise he was holding up. He looked at me with fiercely enraged eyes as they began letting off a green glow. Vines began growing around my arms , neck and feet as they tightly pinned me against the ground. Brandon raised one fist and swung it against my chest , the punch connected and cause the breathe to escape out of my lungs. He didn't stop though. He kept on punching my chest with more force then the previous. Soon I let out , the electric shock dissipated and soon stopped. I was struggling for breath.

My chest had been shattered and I was barely able to breathe , Brandon still in the same position fell unconscious on top of me. His body covering mine. I tried to stay awake snd handle the pain , but it was too much to handle by myself. Eventually I lost consciousness also
